Monta Ellis' Crazy Shot

amazing shot!!

 

Crazy shot. Kobe did something similar earlier this season(behind the backboard), iirc. Not one handed though(appeared ME' was). Some team should rescue him out of GS. They don't appear to be headed anywhere fast.

 

If it was Kobe, his fans would say that just proved that he's the greatest ever.

 

Kobe did do a similar shot around thanksgiving, he didn't get called for the foul though in that game.

 

On another board I frequent, Lakers fans are pissed off that ESPN referred to that Ellis shot as him doing a "LeBron". Both LeBron and Kobe have hit behind the backboard shots this year.

Impressive, but no Shane Battier dunk scream, no care.

 

I think Kobe's is better compared to Lebron's because the release is much closer to the backboard so it had to be a really high arcing shot.

 

One of Larry Bird's highlight plays was him making this behind the backboard shot against the Rockets in 1986. Interestingly, his basket did not count. Wondering if they changed the rules from then and now.

Lebron is also fading adding to the difficulty of the shot.

 

Monta Ellis and Kyle Korver? I'm sorry but I have it on good authority that only Kobe Bryant is talented enough to make such an astounding, impossible shot. I could see Lebron James maybe getting lucky in some fluke situation, but theres no way Ellis or Korver could possibly get in the neighborhood of the rim while shooting from behind the backboard; it's impossible for them. These Youtube videos must be sophisticated forgeries made in a desperate attempt to hate on Kobe Bryant.

 

Monta is just a beast. What a athlete.
