The one constant with the fans is they have to find someone to hate. Ariza's period was like a few months I remember 4-5 years ago he was the new hot player and everybody was in love with him and then 6 years later here we are. Lets not forget stevie franchise. He went from the it guy to the scrub guy in three years. The worst was when people were calling for rudy's head.
I don't remember anybody calling for CD's head. And since Morey is a better GM than CD, he should be safe.
Ariza still receives hatred so.. his time is still now. Stevie declined and got injured nobody ever really hated him plus we trade him for mcgrady so....we won that deal. Morey has had much more positive impacts than negative up to this point so no hate for him.
When he trades T-mac ..unless we get an elite player back. Imo some people may not notice but were actually downgrading in talent with deals that have come up so far.
<br> You're kidding right?? After the deals that Cato, Moochie, Maloney, Shandon Anderson, Mo Taylor, and all the rest of those scrubs got, a good portion of people were calling for CD's head. However, I agree. I don't think people will call for Morey's head. When time comes to lay blame on a single person other than players, Adelman will get flamed. And very hard at that.
If Phoenix snatch Iggy from Philadelphia, I'd be pretty mad. The blame wouldn't be entirely on Morey though, he's a wizard, not an omnipotent god.
Nah I don't think so. Some of Morey's moves have been questioned at first/in the beginning, but in the end or the long run, it turns out to be better than first thought or expected. Even if he makes a bad move, I don't think people will say "I hate Morey for making that move!" Ariza? I'm not sure people hate him[Morey] for it, but rather question[or hate] the move itself. Or they'll hate the player, not the GM, as in Ariza's case. Hate Morey? Not sure, maybe some do or will. Question his move(s) and ask what was he thinking? More likely. Just my $0.02 In Morey We Trust!
My take on the whole situation boils down to whether Morey will be able to make lemonade out of a lemon (McGrady). Morey wants some assets in return for McGrady without losing most, if any, of our core young players. However, teams like Philly appear to want some of our young assets (Scola is not a player that a rebuilding team wants), which is probably the reason some of the rumored trades involving the Rockets have not occurred yet. Either the Wizz or the Philly deal would help us immediately. Both deals bring us a starting center who can rebound and block shots. Also, both deals brings us a wing who can ball. By the evening of Feb 18th, I just hope something is done to improve us, make us more competitive with the Lakers, Celts, and Atlanta.
It's true people are always bashing someone, and Ariza has not got a very warm welcome to Houston. Damn, tough-ass fans (probably living a soft life). People will start hating on Morey as soon as they think they are smarter than him, which could be at any moment.
I dont understand that logic People were ecstatic with getting TA understanding what funding we had and the moves (DPE) Morey had to do to get him and still have the MLE. Morey and Adelmans decision is to keep him playing so much harder and more shooting and more everything then what he had to do in LA. But yet these same people hate TA instead of DA? Ummm, not making sence to me using that logic you gave us guy.
