Both teams had the same record. 1985-86 NBA Houston Rockets* 51 31 2004-05 NBA Houston Rockets* 51 31
Was your but really itching so bad you just had to make this thread you turd? I don't understand what your aim is....that 1986 team was the BEST team in rocket history...period. They made it to the finals and lost to the Bird led Celtics, arguably the best team in NBA history, yes better than the bulls for all the newcomers. So let me ask you again, why are you comparing a first roud fodder with a cupcake center like Yao, and choke artist like T-Mac to the Hakeem/Sampson/Lucas? There should be a limit to how many idiotic threads you should be allowed to make per week.
Just go ahead and vote for the 04-05 team so tinman can achieve his sole purpose in life and have something to talk about.
its actually amazing how the 04-05 team managed a record of 51-31... +20 with only vets + tjack + toeless yao and of course ryan bowen
I think tinman's sole purpose is the make each thread slightly worse than his previous one. How can someone on a Rockets msg board have so much passion for the team* yet be so unlikeable? * only applicable to previous Houston Rockets teams
Mike James was on fire that year. Barry, Sura, and Wesley were also damn good. Rockets were struggling before these guys came on board at the midpoint of the season. As for the poll, 85-86 team would crush 04-05 team.
This thread has changed my outlook on life. Thanks to Tinman I am now a more intelligent basketball fan and I no longer respect post-1999 Rockets fans.
I believe you missed the royal douchiness' goal: It was actually to make you no longer respect post-1999 Clutchfans members If you are not a "99er", he will bend over backwards to prove you can never be a real rockets fan.
04-05 cause T-Mac would make 13 points in 35 seconds which means he would put up 1070 points in one game...OH SNAP!
Yoyo is not a 99er and he's a pure Rocket fan like cocaine straight from bolivia brooksball is not a 99er and he's odb zboy is always thinking about the C.R.E.A.M (Clutchfans Rule everything around me) you don't know me and you don't know my style
That '85-'86 team also had health issues named John Lucas. Also, Sampson hurt his knee against the Celtics. At Best, that 04-05 team was a perennial top 4 seed contender. The 85-86 squad took a team that had 5 all stars in its starting lineup and gave em hell. The Twin Towers Rockets were champ contenders until a bum knee and drug problems wiped it out. That's the only way they were going to lose, because that team was on the rise.
