I've wondered about Golden State as a trade partner, if to get hold of Randolph, but having to take on crappy contracts. With a third team being involved or not being involved.

Is Maggette complete speculation on Clutch's part? The guy can score but he's the Yinka Dare of swingmen.

As much of a non-Maggette fan I have been since his days with Brand, Odom, Richardson, Dooling, etc......I would be willing to trade him for Ariza right now.

Are you still on for today? If so, i had a few questions. Based on several rumor articles, is Martin the one player that Morey is waiting out for? It seems that's the main guy they are looking to get. Do you expect teams to lower their asking price come the week of the trading deadline or do you think this will be another disappointing trading deadline? Lastly, do you think the Rockets have considered Granger? I know Bird stated they were not looking to trade him but rather build around him but I can't see them building around Granger with their current financial situation. They have too many guys with large contracts. Do you think the Rockets would trade for Granger if the Pacers wanted them to take Dunleavy Jr. and TJ Ford? Both contracts do expire next year.

 

How can the Rockets sign a star or for that matter any other "big" name,when they are likely to be left with 7-8 M after McGrady's contract expires? Maybe Cook's 3.5 M might add some more to it,but that won't be enough. Re-signing either Luis or Kyle will cut into that amount as well. A sign and trade seems the only way out,but the offers that management are likely to get are less than stellar as you said.
