If Chicago was smart they should know they cant ride or depend on Rose, but the chances of Wade playing in Chicago are kinda slim. So they would bank on that i would not wast my time.
Why can't they rely on Rose...a 21 year old Point Guard who is improving his game. There is no way you can predict Rose as unreliable. For god sake he helped that team make the playoffs last year and helped make one of the best playoff series in a long time And why would you trade for yi or lopez who are still unproven on horrific teams.. They have Noah who has played great this year.
i wouldn't say they are slim. the heat are going no where and wade understands that at age 28 he doesn't have a long time to be at the height of his game. wade has already came ut before and criticize the organization for nt putting quality players around him so a team like chicago with rose, deng, salmons, and nah would be pretty tempting to him. and it's always a plus seeing how is from the chicago area and was a fan of the bulls in his childhood
Lopez and Yi big men take longer to develop, but the fact they are still getting better too. Lopez is what a damn near 20/10/2blocks already? Hmm i trade Rose for Lopez any day of the week and twice on sunday regardless if Wade was showing up or not. He'll replace Noah or trade him off for another top whatever pick. You need bigs and wings to win and win big in the league.
Yea, they still need a Rasheed Wallace type of move to put them near the top though. I don't think Rose and Wade can coexist in the same back court as they both need the ball in their hands to be effective. They have iso players, so i cant see much ball-movement between them. and i think that poor shooting back-court can be easily defended or kept to a near minimum, just force them to shoot over the top and from the outside.
rose played well with ben gordon and they both worked well together in the playoffs. the problem is you wouldn't be able to double when they have good games. obviously wade would be the primary scorer ove rose but imagine wade getting hot and trying to double him only to have rose open to shot/drive or vice-versa. that would be pretty hard to contain and force teams to spread the floor imo. not only trying to contain those two on the wing but also factoring deng seeing how he is getting 17 ppg while shooting 46% and guy in the paint like noah would be a problem imo.
wow.. I'll keep your post somewhere in my computer and make sure to take it out and repost once John Wall beats Blake Griffin to ROY.
Chauncey was the best player on the Pistons championship team. Magic was the best player on the Lakers teams. Isaiah was the best player on the Piston teams. The truth is you have to have a great playmaker to win a championship. That doesn't mean you will win a championship if you have a great playmaker. But you have to have a great playmaker to win a championship. Whether that playmaker is the traditional point guard (Chauncey/Isaiah/Magic) or whether he is a swingman (MJ/Kobe/DWade/Pierce/Havlicek) or whether he is a big man (Hakeem/Duncan).
Who was the great playmaker on Jordan's teams? Or Hakeem's teams? Or the Spurs? Come on, there are all kinds of ways to skin a cat (win a championship) and having a great playmaker helps but is not required...at all. DD
It sounds like his definition of playmaker is not point guard, but rather player who can make the right play at the right time, as he clearly gave examples of swingmen and big men who he considered playmakers.
That team actually had 4 All-Stars so it's hard to say who was best as all 5 players were actually good at the time. If your talking Billups as being the best because of his MVP during the playoffs so what, that team still as i just mentioned. Thomas? Thomas forget about him, but what about Dumars, Woolridge, Rodman they was pretty good too and Lambieer and that team is similar to the last championship Pistons team. Magic was not you average PG either, a guy who could play all 5 positions would not qualify. And still he had the missing piece which is required to win. Another Big and wings.
This is the guy we want - http://www.texassports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/james_damion00.html Or this guy - http://www.okstate.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/anderson_james00.html I watched the UT/OKSt game and was really impressed by both. From a pure scoring and finding his shot perspective, I'd take James Anderson - he's a big 2 with great court vision.
I think this is more of a message to David Anderson. He's been playing like A*s. I rather see what Dorsey and Cook can do rather then have Anderson in there.
So after this game you think Adelman wants to tank? if you want to tank, why not letting a team with a worst record, beating you?
You can go even farther in your explanation and talk about the actual Lakers. Fisher? Seriously? This guy is far from being a top 10 PG in this league.. And yet they still get the b'ness done.
Well Fisher really doesnt count given that he plays with Kobe, and Kobe can pretty much do anything on the court, so if they ever have to run a play that involves setting teammates up, Kobe automatically takes on the playmaker role, making fisher a catch and shoot type of player... --RB
