that's an incredibly high standard to use to argue against him, he got there three times before he had a top running back

    3.95 games?

    This is getting childish.

And Pittsburgh probably had an even worse running game than Arizona.

Dan Reeves has always coached old school winning football, but never any QB friendly football. Once he left Denver, all of a sudden Elway became a better passer.

To add to that, Elway especially in the 80's was that typical rocket armed QB who was way too boastful in showing it off. To his own detriment. It was almost like he had to show everyone he indeed possessed the strongest arm ever and was also a pitcher in the Yankees minor leagues. Totally going for the radar gun record every throw. They always had to mention some story of how Denver receivers would almost get killed by the velocity of his throws, blah blah...

elway, did it three times and has two rings,

as a matter of fact if you want to really try to turn this argument around, warner lost a superbowl with the best running back in the league.

    elway 2-0 with the best

Elway and Terrell Davis vs Moss in his rookie year.

That would have been a dream Super Bowl.

Instead we got the Dirty Birds and Tim Dwight's kick return.

    Turrble.

If Gary Anderson didn't pick the worst moment to miss his first FG of the season.

    Just brutal.

Also Moss couldn't come up with a long bomb in single coverage in Overtime because Cunningham underthrew it just enough for the CB to recover.

Sucks to be a Vikings Fan.

    Just like Favre really.

You look at the 98 situation compared to this year's, the similarities are pretty eerie.
