I know what you mean. LCII and I were calling for Hayes to be in there in the 4th to guard Stoudemire. IMO, we could have won during regulation had because Hayes essentially shut down Stoudemire in the 3rd quarter. I have stated that for as great as RA is, his in game decisions are just not very timely.
I only caught bits and pieces - we were being outplayed in the 1st half, so I was ecstatic when I checked back to see we were tied going into overtime. We must have come out firing in the 2nd half. So, I guess FT's bit us again - WTF!!!
I don't think so. Lopez was like Chamberlain. Amare was another Chamberlain with 100% FT. Coach asked Dorsey to to something while the team had no answer for big guys. Dorsey did nothing at all but leaving the game with 1 bad pass. It's just that simple.
The Suns shuffled Lopez in and out for defense/offense purposes. Some nights RA would do the same thing, on other nights, RA would not bother...
He blew the last layup and then the ft attempt. If I was him I would feel like ****. How about you go learn some human emotions?
Monday they need to practice free throws. Also gotta say, missed seeing Kyle out there tonight, he really is a great spark to the team. I hope he stays here.
I trust guys like Leeb, and Dave78 when they say Iggy and Dalembert could really help us, and I just hope it gets done soon.
C'mon, as someone posted, DA was sucking donkeyballs. lol. DA played so poorly today, Dorsey's appearance was like no guess at all. In fact, DA stayed glued to the bench in the 2nd half.
Can't believe Brooks missed that layup at the end. I liked his idea of intentionally missing the free throw, but too bad he was a split second too early but the team played really hard and almost came out of it with a win against a premier team. Lowry probably would've helped...
Dude, we were trailing by 16 in the 3rd before we tightened out D and then Brooks starting making shots from the parking lot. Without his overall contribution, the game wouldn't even be this close.
DA was useless today. On a lighter note....Yao has once successfully grabbed a freethrow rebound. Take lessons guys! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohHoK4-LeuY
Here's the rule: Section I-Free Throw a. After the ball is placed at the disposal of a free throw shooter, his attempt shall be within 10 seconds in such a way that the ball enters the basket or touches the ring before it is touched by a player. The free throw attempt shall be within that part of the free throw circle behind the free throw line. b. A player shall not touch the ball or basket while the ball is on or within the basket. c. A player who occupies a free throw lane space shall not touch the floor on or across the free throw lane line, nor shall any player "back out" more than 3' from the free throw lane line. A player who does not occupy a lane space must remain 6' from the free throw line and/or 3' from the free throw circle. This restriction applies until the ball leaves the free thrower's hands. d. The free throw shooter may not cross the plane of the free throw line until the ball touches the basket ring or backboard or the free throw ends. e. No player shall deflect or catch the ball before it reaches the basket or backboard on a free throw attempt. f. The free throw shooter shall not purposely fake a free throw attempt. g. An opponent shall not disconcert the free thrower in any way, once the ball has been placed at the disposal of the shooter. h. No violation can occur if the ball is not released by the free throw shooter.
I don't know how so many people were saying this is the easy part of the schedule. Trade deadline can't get here fast enough.
The refs screwed us, AB didn't touch the ground before the ball hit the rim. They should be able to review that, Refs hate us so much!
