Getting Rashard would be nice, but we don't necessarily need him. We have a great prospect in Nachbar and Rice will be solid as well. As long as Rashard leaves the Sonics that will be fine. A Rashardless Sonics team is enough for us to get into the playoff picture. I wont be surprised if, after his warm welcome in Dallas, that he wont even want to go back to Seattle.
We don't *Need* another thread that basically covers the same subject that about 10 other threads do.
I would like to get Lewis, but I would like him to go the the Mavs also. Think how good the MAvs are going to be with Lewis! C-Nowitzki PF-LaFrentz SF-Lewis SG-Finley PG-Nash Look out LA, Dallas has the better team!
No way. They still can't stop Shaq. They can't stop Kobe. Nevermind LA, they still would not beat Sacramento.
Yeah sure, that's the same thing that was said when La frentz and Van Exel were traded to dallas----nothng but Shaq could save that team
They could not stop Shaq, but Nowitzki, Finley, Nash, Lewis, Van Exel, would be too much for Shaq and Kobe.
1.les is cheap 2.we will never win a ring as long as cuban goes into lux tax and les doesnt 3.lewis > our sf 4.if nachbar gets injured, saygoodbye to playoffs, much less a ring 5.actually steve should relized this and go to dallas if he wants to get a ring 6.cuban = stienbrenner
nowitzki needs to play sf. he's so talented that he can play minutes at the 4 and 5(now what does that say about the center position) but he's out of position. getting rashard just adds another scorer to a team that is full of them. if him shooting takes away from dirk, nash, and finley's shots than all the better. he does not make them better than the lakers or sacramento. in paper they would have probably the most talent in the league but that does not equal winning it all. the rocks don't need rashard, but for the mce he'd still be very useful.
This is what you're saying: 1. We have to go into lux tax to get a ring. 2. Lewis is better than Nachbar. (how the hell do you know) 4. So you are saying Lewis is better than Nachbar, and that if Nachbar gets injured=no playoffs. What does that mean for Dallas if Lewis gets injured=lottery? 5. Then you're saying Steve will only get a ring if he leaves. Wow, those are some very bold statements. But wait, the 94 & 95 Rockets won Championchips with Les, we weren't into Lux Tax, and Hakeem won two championchips and didn't go anywhere. Not only are your statements just opinions, but you have not the least bit of proof to back any of it up. except for #1 (I'll give you that)
The three teams that are over the projected luxury tax bracket haven't won squat since the current CBA was signed. What about: any team without a healthy Shaq won't win the Championship...
We don't need Shard at this time. We must put our focus on our key players such as signing the Franchise and Ming. After doing that, then we could focus on getting another crucial player that will be added to the piece of the puzzle. If Shard don't want to come home, fine! I'll kick his ass out of Htown. There are other players who are good than him and it depends if Steve likes him or not.
Look at what this guy said in the Sonicscentral board. http://www.sonicscentral.com/forum/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=729
What's Troy Barros doing at the sonics board? Moochie + Kenny for Lewis? I'm pretty sure there would still have to be a third team involved for that even to be a possibility. Kenny and Lewis would both be BYC I believe.
you dont know? he goes from team to team, traveling though all the 29 bbs's pretending to be in the know. some say he has gone into football now too.
We don't need Lewis unless you assume that Rice will be healthy the entire season, which is unlikely, and that Nachbar is ready to play big time minutes in the NBA. I just think that we're putting to much praise into Nachbar before any of us have seen him play. He could turn out to be a great SF in the NBA, however it is too early to make a definitive judgement on his ability. I think that the Rockets should go all out for Rashard, because it allows Nachbar time to adjust to the NBA, and the signing will greatly help our depth, allowing Rice and Nachbar to split time off the bench, and if someone gets hurt we still have a couple of quality guys at the three. I know I'll probably get blasted for saying this, but remember the last time the Rockets spent a mid first round pick on a European small forward who shot lights out at a workout, Mirsad Turksan. I'm not saying that Nachbar will turn out like Turksan, I'm actually a fan of Nachbar, but I feel like its too early to hand him 20-30 minutes a game at the NBA level. If Rashard is willing to take the MCE, Rudy and CD should be all over him, trying to bring him into the fold.
If Rashard was willing to come to Houston for the MCE, CD would have signed a deal with him by now. Rashard is looking for big money.Seattle will be his first choice if they are willing to pay him more money.
