I heard a live version of London's Burning by the Clash while thinking of a name to register on this site and it worked.
I think that's where I got it. Basically, I was playing a hyperterminal dial up "role playing" game, and I had to find a name. I looked around and I had a gaming magazine on my desk, with an ad for that game on it. never heard of it....never played it....but the name stuck, and I've been using it for everything online since (other sites, Online gaming, email)
I was working in NYC, and my co-worker signed up for the account. He is a big Killers fan, and "Mr. Brightside" was his favorite song at the time. We used to share this account. When he got sent to federal prison, I took over his account and have been posting solely ever since. I'm more of an indie rock guy, but still like The Killers.
while pledging for a frat I got a stupid nickname. Because I was Latino in a mostly Black frat they called me, Rico Suave. I had to think of a name. Reeko looked cooler. I live in Htown. Reeko_Htown. I did get in by the way.
It's a nickname by which they knew me in high school and I've used it in many other places on the interwebs. That is such a load of crap. Why don't you tell us the truth that you can BAIT like no one can? C'mon, MAN!
In one of the first leagues I played in I overheard the opposing team discussing who was going to guard "That f'n blurr". To wich one of the players asked wich one and the guy replied "#7 that one!" So it stuck for the season and there after.
i used to like yoyos back in middle school then freshman year of college when i was getting ready to play CS for the first time my roommate came into the room and shouted 'yoyo' so I was like ok that'll be my name yoyo thus a the legend of the yoyo who sucked so bad at CS that no one wanted him in their clan was born
my name is based off of Yao Mings finishing move on his multiple mistresses and his inability to grow facial hair, esp around his lip area.
I was told that the origin of my user name can be traced back to July 4, 1967, prior to my arrival in the world on 9/10 of the same year.
my cousin gave me this screen name when I was in middle school... been rollin' with this name ever since.
I was signing up to Clutchfans and didn't know what to put as my login/username. It was never my intention to post ever, so I didn't care how stupid it was, I was just required to sign-in. I was in my dorm room and the TV was on as I pondered this question, then Snoop Dog's MTV skitshow (a SNL type show that got canceled quickly), Snoop was doing a skit where he was a super hero. And his super power to fight evil-doers was his pimphand. So I just picked it as my name. I always thought it was a stupid name and one I didn't put any thought into at all, but recently I have begun to appreciate the meaning behind it. Now, on this BBS, I often pimphand b****es in order to rule the internet and keep it safe.
my name is david and at first I wanted to have the word "rockets" in my nickname, then I remember "david crocket" so I just removed the "c" and it was my name, and the word "rocket" that I wanted. I thought your name was because the Sonics were a huge rival of the rockets in the 90s.
became a Rockets fan the second they traded for Sir Charles. Lived in Arizona before I moved to Texas, so Barkley was my favorite fan. It was awesome that his arrival in Texas was just a year or two after mine. Now, regardless of where I live, I'm a Rockets fan for life.

this thread was the second thread I ever signed up for, first it was David2000, just stuck my name with the year I graduated HS, but re-registered by just going with Dave since it was flowed better, and most people called me that by short.
