Simple poll. Straight up Tmac for Iggy/Dalembert or Kevin Martin/Nocioni. Sure, there could be fillers, but assume it's minor and inconsequential. I'm curious where this board stands. I'll assume that under both scenarios, if no further moves are made, are required to give up Scola in the offseason. Yao/Dalembert Landry/Hayes Ariza/Battier Iggy/Buddinger/Taylor Brooks/Lowry or Yao/Hayes Landry/Nocioni Ariza/Battier Martin/Buddinger/Taylor Brooks/Lowry
Definitely not martin, teams will take him directly to the post especially with kobe and artest, you have to think about that considering Lakers are the team you will have to go through for a championship.
With Battier and Ariza, we are equipped to deal with that when it comes to crunch time. But point noted, martin is weak defensively but much better offensively.
If Martin were as durable as Iguodala, it'd be no contest for me. He isn't. He's as injury prone as T-Mac.
What that means is martin will have to be benched unless you move him to the pg position, a lineup of artest, kobe, odom, and gasol can all post smaller players except for fisher. I don't see Rockets playing without a pg on the floor.
I actually live in Sacramento, and Kevin Martin is way over rated. The guy plays abolutely no defense, and is injury prone. Since he has come back from injury his offensive game has suffered too.
Morey should go for health over injuries. Moneyball doesn't seem to value "games played" as a statistic.
If we go ahead and plug our cap I actually don't mind Dalembert. He would be great if you think about it. Can we somehow get Martin and Dalembert?
I pick Martin and Nocioni because of their contract situation. Plus Kevin Martin fit into this system more than Iggy. Andre has a massive contract which I do not want.
I want no part of Martin. We'd be going down that same road again(IF healthy). For the sake of this argument, give me AI9 and SD
