I'd expand that to say "I'm very much unconvinced that my TV viewing needs or even wants 3D." The dorky glasses give me a headache, and the effect is minimal, at best. My eyes might be fooled, but my brain knows it's flat. So, any perceived depth is mostly lost on me. Not to mention the fact that the 3d effect removes me from the storyline and makes me think of the cinematography rather than the story. 3D isn't new: it's been around since the beginning of film, and it's never been anything more than a fad or a gimmick. And with very good reason: because the suck far outweighs the good.
3D televisions are gonna hit the market next year. They're also gonna have built-in camera, wifi, and skype so that you can video conference directly from your TV.
