    Just thinking about what this season would be like if you were healthy. Sure hoping and praying for your recovery. We sure could use your game right now as our team and our fans are in need of a real lift. Come back strong big fella.

    It was the nickname Letterman gave him after one of our championships when he had him on the show...I think they played ping pong outside against each other IIRC

    Hakeem was FAR from gentle especially on the court and early in his career. He mellowed, but never to the point where that nickname would be an apt description of him in any time when he was at his best.
