I agree. Thinking towards the future (post-Rice) as Nachbar comes online as a starter (hopefully), then can't we go with power to share SF minutes. Wouldn't that be great to have more power on the floor when you have already have shooters everywhere?

Griffin and MoT are both finesse players right now, matching them with finesse SFs is one way to flank Ming, but that's a finesse game. What about a power-type SF to get 20mpg? Hopefully one strong enough to play PF as well, to spell injuries and to play when Griffin slides to C to spell Ming (as we are hearing for the future). Even when Griffin gets stronger, isn't it still worth considering having power rebounding/defense coming from the SF position...at least as a backup?

Don't you envy teams that have power crashing the boards all the time and controlling the paint. San Antonio kills us with that.

    heypee!

    hehe!

sounds like you're referring to a current rocket that everyone keep saying "needs to be traded" because of a perceived logjam. yep, we need more bite in the frontcourt. someone who looks cool on graphics, preferably.

Rodney Rogers? How does that sound? Do a sign and trade with Boston for Rogers, maybe KT for Rogers?

if that is what we need, then why not have a future of nachbar as the finesse starter and kt as the banger backup?

    ming-cato-collier
    griff-moT
    nachbar-kt
    cat-os
    steve-mooch-tierre

in 2 years time that can be our team with rice's contract up he may just retire or we will let him sign else where.

kt lost 20lbs last offseason. he went from a 260 pf, to a 240 tweener. if kt can lose another 10lbs and gain some more range on his jumper he can be our sf.

Mo Taylor alot better than KT, imo. We won 47 games when Mo Tayor was in the line up, and 28 with him out. I know that missing Mo Taylor last year made us lose so many games, but he was a big part. KT can't rebound any better than Mo Tayor, and he sucks at shooting even though he think he can hit the 3. On top of that he looks like Charlie Brown.

I would prefer a Brian Grant or Ben Wallace (who wouldn't!) at power forward. We could get the former (Miami-boy Glen Rice + KT) but Grant's way too expensive and we already have a PF glut; and ain't NO way the Pistons yield Ben Wallace.

I think that we are set at PF with Taylor and Griffin. We need a back up SG or SF and that is Bryon Russell. If we get him he could start at SF and Rice and Nachbar could play back up. Plus Nachbar and Russell can play SG or SF. My wish list would be to drop, KT and Cato and get Rodney Rogers and Bryon Russell.

What the hell is up your hiny?? K.T. rebounds FAR better than MoT, and has a scoring average that is comparable if not better!!
Also, K.T. can shoot with either hand, has a post-up game, and has more than a clue about defense!!

To say K.T. sucks and give props to MoT is not only an insult, but is also ridiculous   !!

MoT is a finesse player, and for someone his size, that's a joke!! He's just a younger version of Charles Smith (and probably not even that good). K.T. can learn to shoot better, but Mo can't grow a heart !!!! I agree with Rocket River: MoT blows!!

I say if we have a chance to trade Mo, we do it in a heart beat!! We lost more games last year because Franchise was out of the lineup so much, not because we missed Mo .

Did you watch Kenny play last season? He improved (again) from the year before, carried the team in stretches, and DID'NT SHOOT ONE 3. Thank you.

I did not say we lost all those games because we did not have Mo T, I said he was a part of it. I know that KT does not suck, but I hate his guts, sorry. Mo Taylor is better than him, IMO. I don't want too argue, I just like MO T better.

It can only be Kenny of course. Probably we will never be that team that is power all the time, but we certainly can do a much better job with the guys that we have. In addition to Kenny, I think Cato should be able to add some power. And MoT would have to add some power to his game. I am not really interested in giving up one of our boys or reducing their minutes to give to a power player. In fact the only power player on Spurs is Rose and I would not give up any of our guys for him.

You guys may think that I am joking but I feel like we may have the best overall frontcourt in the West.

MoT has no heart? He is the biggest team supporter that we have, he loves the Rockets more than any other player on the squad, and he works his butt off.

Who was the banger who protected Kareem? Or who protected Hakeem his 2nd championship year...for that matter, who protects Shaq?

Sometimes Walton speaks out of his ass.
