Everyone knows the earthquake was generated by undercover CIA operatives at Cal Tech so that a brigade of US soldiers could occupy Haiti under the guise of a humanitarian effort and implement the final solution to the Haitian question. Caught red handed!!

I thought this was going to be the end of this ****. I mean wasn't the whole point of electing Obama so that he could fight adult illiteracy and help people who believe one single Frenchman is the same as the entire govt. of France?

Sometimes, when a foreign country needs help, and wants or expects the US to help, I would like there to be no help given UNTIL that country proclaims their specific desire to the world, that they request help from the US.

We are expected in many cases to be there for everyone, and at the same time there are others criticizing our involvement.

Sometimes a big THANK YOU would be appreciated for the generosity of our country.

the French will probably respond like this:

Fuuck the yanks, they are just some barbarians who got rich and showy overnight, yet still cannot grasp the concept of civilization and sophistication.

Nice verbal exchange between Americans and the French. Don't know why Americans usually get defensive when the French say something sometimes. Americans probably don't give a **** to anybody but they never say I don't give a **** to the Japanese or the Russians or the Iranians specifically........only to the French.

    Why?

Has anyone run across the actual quote, and not the paraphrase?

Because the French cave in easily.

How do you identify a French solider? Sunburned armpits.

I think almost everyone experiences what I did in France, you must be an exception, or you are just purposely disagreeing with me

I think I just came. Come with me to France this summer. We'll party in Saint Tropez and hit St. Barts the week after.

America is a country of ignorant, robotic goats. The only difference between them and the French is the French actually understand their situation. Thus the scrutiny, the refinement, the elegance, the taste, and the pursuit of a better tomorrow.

For what it's worth, I agree with you. Paris smelled like urine, also, not just the subway.

This might be true, but the French have the curiosity and energy to make the best of their surroundings. The average American needs to idle... like a slow cooked broth, so he feels defined by his situation since he doesn't have the charisma to define himself.

So what you're basically saying is that when some guy urinates in the street...

Americans say: Let's clean that up!

French say: Let's make the most of it!

Ever remember Napoleon, the man who almost demolished the whole europe?
The French just kneeled upon Adolf's conquest. But who did not, except Stalin(and that's partly because the soviet union is far away from paris)? Were they be able to they organize an efficient resistance, or did they simply give up?
