When it is clear that a superstar cannot be had for McGrady? This should have been resolved along time ago. Now, the stretch of games willl show why they won't make the playoffs. No lottery pick, no playoffs. Worse case scenario there. And what happens if come the deadline, they are not in the race anymore?
Worst case scenario won't happen. Rockets only give up their 2nd round pick for 2010 and Kirk Snyder for Gerald Green. If the Rockets don't make the playoffs, they will keep their lottery pick this year.
You do know that if you don't make the playoffs, you're in the lottery. You cannot miss the playoffs and NOT be in the lottery. And the best deal? As opposed to what, a bad deal? Is this a rhetorical question?
At this point, anything you get for McGrady is found money. I fully expect nothing and his contract to come off the books at the end of the year.
while morey is waiting on the best deal, other teams are snatching up players making deals. you snooze you lose . but then again ive outlined why we cant add iggy or bosh or amare or butler...until battier and ariza are gone this team cant take on salary unless you lose lowry or scola. we are stuck with this team for awhile
sorry but this is a terrible thread...the time when it'll be clear a star cant be had is when the deadline passes. Until then there's always a chance. And no, this shouldnt have been resolved along time ago. that would not give us several offers to sort through. And tmac is one of , if not the most, attractive big contracts out there. how could they not be in the race until the end of the deadline?
u have to wait simply cuz patience is a virtue.. dont wana get overly anxious and make an impulse decision based how bad we're playing at the moment, most predicted this season to be a wash anyways so we dont need to mortgage the future for a pedestrian few more wins in this meaningless season
how about we just give mcgrady another shot? pipe dream, but i mean, it's worth the risk. we're losing anyway
They should have traded Yao, 3 seasons ago. I don't see you starting a thread about that., when there is still a month to go.
I would totally do that. If you look at our record since T-Mac was banished it is quite mediocre at best. We didn't give him enough of a chance imo, too quick to jettison him out of our lineup.
