When we so publically divorced ourselves from McGrady there was a huge rash of initial rumors (as you would expect), but has anyone else been suprised at the quiet in the whole Tmac situation for the last 10-12 days. Really nothing has come out and you have the consider that the blurbs that did come out were re-hashed to death. Just seems like there would be more chatter.

You would think that the Rockets public blessing to Tracy to find a suitable trade partner would get Mac talking/building information websites/blogging of him coming dominance.......

Nothing out of Tracy, the org, or other teams.... Just seems quieter than it should be.

Maybe because there is nothing to report. I mean why would they say the same thing everyday. Working out in Chicago. blah blah blah. Tim Grover blah blah blah. Morey wants young talent in return blah blah blah. Nothing new to report. But I must say I myself would like to know what the deal is.

Will he play, get traded, stay with the Rockets and just sit out the season so they keep his large expiring. What? Wonder whats going on.

Yeah I have noticed that its been quiet the past couple weeks. But there really isn't anything tracy or the team can do besides wait for the right offer.

That's the sound of every team in the NBA not rushing to grab Tracy McGrady.

The other sound you hear is Tracy McGrady speed dialing Steve Francis, Stephon Marbury, and the Harlem Ballstoppers.

Imagine how T-Mac feels about this silence.

DM has said it will go close to the deadline... Why doubt the honesty?

It will happen when it does...

Good point. It doesn't seem that teams are interested in tracy. This man has really screwed his future. Teams are not willing to give up talent just for an expiring contract and a big maybe that he will get healthy.

history shows (and morey has said) trades usually happen right around the trade deadline. Once tmac became publicly "available" teams started calling with offers....after that there won't be much more to talk about since most offers were likely already presented. Now it's just sit and wait. Teams rarely have a reason to change their offer or accept one right now. Once the deadline approaches and teams get desperate they're likely to change their offer and teams will get new offers from such teams. That's when more talk, and therefore more deals, will be done.

RV6 yea I pretty much understand those workings but my theory is that DM has a couple "base" offers that he would fall back on or that he thinks will sweeten to the point of acceptance. Just a theory though.

Well. We all know what's going to happen. Tracy is traded for someone who was not who we were expecting... the CF members criticize and destroy him on the boards, and then in time he becomes one of the most loved players in the city of Houston...

    - nice return! We could make some noise in the playoffs if this happens.

Anthony Randolph + Biedrens is a good trade. Many might criticize them, but overall it's better than a straight up trade for Iggy and some scrubs.
