lol, Red gave you a chance to make up on your mistake and you still fail to do so. Ariza and Artest both became free agents. by chance, they went to the other team THERE WAS NO ONE TO ACQUIRE. Do you understand the money situation and LT and such?? Also the willingness of other teams? Gortat was offered more money then we could or wanted to give, end story. DA was the next good thing afterwards.

portland wont do it. bayless for battier or miller for battier i think webster you need to add brooks.
Trevor Ariza for Ron Artest. Get it done Morey! Hey, I know we'll probably have to wait until the last minute before deadline (because that's when the best deals come in right?!?), but any time is a good time.
maybe we should trade battier for Gay again. they are both tradeable. then i buy me a gay jersey like ive always wanted and wear it everywhere !!!!!!!!!
Sorry i'm late, but i just came in here to discuss Al Jefferson. I have not the time to browse through 50 pages, so if anybody could fill me in please. I absolutely love Yao Ming, but his future is not looking good. He's injury prone, and i don't think he's going to be anything like he's been these last few years next year. I think we may need to replace him with a center who could protect the paint on one side, and run with the team on the other. I think Jefferson would absolutely shine with Rick on both sides of the floor. I would give up Yao and Landry for Al Jefferson.
Check this one out: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yjfrpoz * Rockets: C: Bosh/Hayes/Anderson (and Yao) PF: Landry/Bosh/Dorsey SF: Ariza/Thornton/Budinger SG: Budinger/Gordon/Taylor PG: Davis/Lowry (and Conroy maybe) => Clippers get a new, young and cheaper starting PG in Brooks. McGrady and Griffin can become their new dynamic duo next season (if they both stay healthy). The Clippers can afford to resign T-Mac next season after they ship away Kaman and Davis with their big contracts. => Raptors get with Kaman their starting C for years. Battier and Scola can also play right away in their starting line-up. Cook is just an expiring contract. They are getting 3 (very) good starting line-up players in return for Bosh and ship with Nesterovic and Wright only 2 bench players away. Maybe the Rockets need to give them some draft picks also ... => Rockets get their all-star level player in Bosh. Davis at PG and his bad contract is maybe not the best part of the deal, but i think you can give it a shot. DM is looking for young talent in return also? Gordon and Thorton are already (very) good IMO, both can develop into a star if they play for the Rockets.
Successful Trade Scenario Congratulations on a successful trade. Due to Houston, Cleveland, Phoenix and Philadelphia being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston, Cleveland, Phoenix and Philadelphia had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Cleveland won't agree to any trade involving Big Z unless the other team(s) involved agree to buy him out so he can resign. Ariza has been bad, awful even, but I'm not at the point where i'm ready to give him away for free.
There is no way in hell the suns send both Richardson and Amare. Plus, having both those two is like adding two black holes to the offense. The ball when passed to either one is essentially either shot or turned over. I think thats the last thing we need. Now, if we got either one of those two I think I would be happy... There is no way they take Cook's contract either...
I wanted Barbosa more but it was hard to make salaries work. Maybe need a 3rd team. I still like the thought of us picking up Amare.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...g=aw-stoudemiresuns012510&prov=yhoo&type=lgns After recent discussions with Amar’e Stoudemire’s(notes) agent that didn’t appear to destine a contract extension, the Phoenix Suns have increased their efforts to trade the All-Star forward, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Sunday night. League executives say the Suns have become more active initiating talks over the past few days, and believe the franchise will take the best offer for Stoudemire before the Feb. 18 trade deadline. The Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets and Detroit Pistons are among multiple teams that have a strong interest in Stoudemire, sources say. The Arizona Republic reported Sunday night that the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers have also inquired about Stoudemire. More From Adrian Wojnarowski Cavs, teammates put Kobe in grumpy mood Jan 22, 2010 Divorce could prove tough for Arenas, Wizards Jan 15, 2010 Suns general manager Steve Kerr met with Stoudemire’s agent, Happy Walters, on Thursday, and league sources say there was little sense an agreement could be reached before the trade deadline. With Stoudemire able to opt out of the final $17.7 million season of his contract, the Suns don’t want to risk losing him for nothing in free agency this summer. As they did when shopping Stoudemire last season, the Suns want a combination of young talent, salary-cap relief and draft picks for him. Some teams are hesitant to trade for Stoudemire for fear he won’t want to re-sign with them this summer. The Minnesota Timberwolves lead that group of teams, sources say. The Wolves are mostly eyeing small forwards, including the Memphis Grizzlies’ Rudy Gay(notes), the Bulls’ Luol Deng(notes) and the Washington Wizards’ Caron Butler(notes). No one is untouchable on the Wolves roster, sources say. With Stoudemire having undergone knee and eye surgeries in recent years, there are differing perspectives on his market value. Nevertheless, Stoudemire has made a strong comeback from eye surgery this season – averaging 20.9 points and 8.6 rebounds – and impressed rival executives and scouts. Stoudemire has been inclined to use Pau Gasol’s(notes) three-year, $57 million contract extension as a parameter for negotiations, and more than one league executive believes that circumstances will result in Stoudemire getting richly rewarded this summer. If LeBron James(notes) and Dwyane Wade(notes) don’t leave Cleveland and Miami this summer, teams like Chicago, New York and New Jersey may be apt to turn to Stoudemire as an alternative. After James and Wade, Stoudemire is part of a second tier of free-agent stars with Toronto’s Chris Bosh(notes) and Atlanta’s Joe Johnson(notes). “Someone will pay him the max – or very close,” one Western Conference executive predicted. As it stands now, it appears unlikely that will be the Phoenix Suns. ------------ Looks like he's available.
