of course they wouldnt be artest! lol wat an idiot he is, the same could be said about LA, Boston, Miami, Toronto, Dallas, SA etc
That lineup would suck, just look at how the Lakers struggle without Pau....and you take Kobe away? They have ZERO penetration. They would stink. DD
Typical display of Ron Ron's supreme intelligence that will all miss: 1) Artest guards LeBron 2) Artest gets burned (Lakers 0-2 vs. Cavs this season) 3) Guy that got burned opens up his mouth and says the Cavs are nothing without LeBron Yeah, this all seems to add up.....
This made me laugh. What constitutes nothingness, anyway? A reporter should have asked him that. I want to see Artest get metaphysical.
5+++++++ to that. We'd be far better than both of those teams. Phil Jackson wouldn't know what to do, if the Lakers lost both Kobe and Gasol to injury in the middle of the playoffs. The Cavs have always been lottery team being carried by a heavyweight superstar (LeBron). It's kind of obvious what Ron Artest said, it's been obvious for the last 6 or 7 seasons. The only reason that team wins is good defense and the one-man wrecking crew of Lebron. It's also funny that the Rockets have beaten both teams without their two or three best players for the last 3 seasons. Beaten the Lakers, twice this year and twice in the playoffs without Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, and Dikembe Mutombo. Beaten the Cavs, this year (no superstars around), and have often beaten them over the last several years.
That game-saving block by LeBron on KD shows exactly why he is the best player in the NBA. If he wasn't red-hot from long-range, the Thunder would have won by 10 points or more. LeBron is such a freak it shouldn't be allowed.
I think that it's fair to say that they're not much without Gasol, but they're still incredibly talented. He was nothing all those years before Gasol got there, and so was this team. After Shaq left they plunged into a state of irrelevance until Gasol came to LA.
The year they signed him, the Lakers were doing quite well without Gasol until Bynum was injured, which is the reason they went after Gasol in the first place. It's ironic that Kobe caused Bynum's injury. After Bynum went down, the Lakers went into a death-spiral and would have missed the playoffs IMO.
The Lakers would not sniff the playoffs without Kobe. Odom only plays when he feels like it, Artest's offense can not be relied on in any way, and Bynum is very hit or miss. The only guy who could consistently get it done would be Gasol.
gasol would be even more soft without kobe. kobe is the heart and soul of that team and what gives them passion and movtivation.
