Whether or not it should be completely legal is another discussion, this debate should be centered on medicinal use only.

I am for it. Lets see, Morphine...ok to prescribe. Oxycontin......ok to prescribe. Zoloft, zanax, valium... all ok to precribe. mar1juana, however can not be. Makes no sense to me.

If they can prescribe Vicodin, Percodan, etc, they can sure as hell prescribe weed.

I'm for it...seeing as the worst thing it causes is dingy-ness
but the Gov has too much at stake to admit the've been wrong all these years..so they will fight legalizing for ANY reason...even if it does help the terminally ill....

besides, they're dying... let em have some fun b4 they pass on..:D

I'm for it, though I never see it happening. Too much controversy.

It might not make much sense to you because your probably not lying down on a hospital bed everyday praying for the good Lord to take this horrible pain away. Listen, all I'm trying to say that if someone is suffering to the point where they have lost all hope in living, and the pain is so excrutiating that it is almost unbearable to take. LET THEM SMOKE POT IF IT MAKES THEM FEEL EVEN THE SLITIST BIT BETTER. ;)

If it's for medicinal use, this shouldn't even be an issue.

If its the best medicine yes

I'm skeptical though since there is a big push for its medical use by people who want to use it for nonmedicinal reasons.

I'm not diehard against mar1juana as long as it done far away from me. I don't want second hand smoke.

Ii thik htown meant that it doesn't make sense why they would NOT want to make it legal for medicinal use since the other drugs are much worse....that was my take on his intent anyway...

mar1juana is a gateway drug to Aspirin, Advil, Tylenol and even Vick's Vaporub.

Against it. Where is mar1juana rerquired that there aren't 10 other drugs that can be substituted? Drugs that won't be sold on the street and that woun't give lung cancer to the patient and those around the patient. Why do we need mar1juana? If you are on your back praying for the Lord to take away your pain, I think you would want something stronger, as well as something that could be used in a hospital which are mostly non-smoking now.

Jeez, coming down in favor of M$ and against MJ, no wonder I'm not humongously popular around here. :D

Well, why not, until I see some side-effects, it's shouldn't even be illegal.

Well, if pot is supposedly easier to get than alcohol (I don't believe it), they shouldn't have a problem asking their 10 year-old son to get them some. They don't even need a prescription.
