Well this thread starts with the comparison of the Rockets to the the Trail Blazers.

The blazers do not have the best player at any position but they do have amongst the best at their respected positions deep all the way through 12 players.

The Rockets have among the best at the point guard position, among the best with Mobley, and could that be it with the players? Is Anderson in the top 10 players for shooting guards?

Cato has potential to become among the best as previously discussed on another thread.
Thomas can not become among the best as good as he played.

The Rockets are thin with talent. Sure they have good role players with Kenny Thomas, Drew, Moochie, Bullard, Williams, Pig Miller, and dare we say it Hakeem.

Say it ain't so, "Hakeem a role player"

But great talents with the Rockets are only Francis, Mobley (if he stays?), Anderson, and Yes Yess Cato [IMG]

Unless a team has superstar players; role players aren't gonna get you anywhere but home during the Finals (and I don't mean home field advantage).

Mobley isn't quite a top 10 shooting guard yet, let us start off with who is better right now. (in no particular order)

    1. Ray Allen
    2. Kobe Bryant
    3. Allan Houston (or Latrell Sprewell)
    4. Vince Carter (or Tracy McGrady)
    5. Eddie Jones
    6. Reggie Miller
    7. Steve Smith (not ppg wise, but remember Portland had more scorers than we did, and Smith does other things)
    8. Allen Iverson
    9. Paul Pierce
    10. Jerry Stackhouse

(more-Finley, Dickerson, Hughes, maybe DA, Penny)

Dude, Ive read this thread's title like 5 times and I still dont understand it.

Rockets have a lot of talent at guards.

    decent at SF

    decent at Center

    hole at PF

Rockets should at the very least get someone to make the Rocks decent at PF, thru draft, trade, or FAgency. Then either one of the decent positions grows into a great position, or the Rockets keep drafting or make a trade. Hopefully decentness doesnt deteriorate.

    I think Im confusing too.
