I think the quote was in reference to Lowry's grit, not playing styles. But the misunderstanding was worth the axl rose is like dolly Parton comment.

I don't see the comparison at all. I remember a young Sam Cassell mostly for his clutch outside shot. Then as he gained experience, he developed and honed the PG part of his game, I believe.

If there is a similarity, it's that both players are a sparkplug off the bench.

I remember a play from, I think, one of the championships runs. It was against the Suns. Sam somehow barreled over Charles Barkley and was laying on top of him and his leg. As I remember, the call went against him, and Sam complained about it while sitting on top of Barkley, with Barkley in visible pain.

Kyle Lowry does remind me of that.

Not even close. I wasn't quite sure why Bullard made that comment.

I mean, sure...there are similarities, but you can find similarities between just about any two players in the NBA, especially those that play the same position.

With the way he moves and the way he plays all out all the time, he reminds me more of a Muggsy Bogues type, but obviously bigger.

Kidd was capable of attacking the rim, although he was much more effective in the fast break, he could drive. I'm positive Lowry is better in the fast break as well. Both are tenacious defenders, both rebound, and both are very good passers who have good court vision. Hard to say they aren't alike. Sure, Lowry may not be a triple-double threat like Kidd, but he's the closest in terms of style of play.

That's why we have one of the worst announcers in the NBA. Though I think Bill Worrell is decently smart. Clyde and Bullard say things that make me scratch my head. I think Clyde is smarter though, but that's like saying nothing.

I gota admit Morey is the best GM in the league, Yes he is the best GM out their....AND I don't think we should trade lowry for Chris bosh or anybody, seriously this guy is the best bench player in the league, having Brooks and Lowry coming off the bench is great one two punch, all we need is trade T-mac for a wing player or let him expire and sign good SG in the off season, plus we need to keep scola who needs Bosh dude seriously, I love this team, when yao get back next season this team is unbeatable.....

P.S. Brooks had great game, I love AB

I don't think the comment was made in reference to their playing styles, because those aren't similar at all to me. I think he was referring to their ability to make a shot at the "right time" or just when we need it in order to change momentum back in our favor in a game or to keep an offensive run alive.

sam is one of the best scorers at the pg's in the era, had a great mid-range game, shot the ball well from the perimeter.

lowry does neither of those things well.
