Liberal Talk-Radio Station Air America Files for Bankruptcy, Will Go Off the Air

I just watched that on Glen Beck tonight. Not joking. In a subtle way, he did a special that tried to compare the Obama administration to Hitler and Stalin. Unreal. He said socialism is the first step towards communisum and went into details about how many Ukranians Stalin killed via starvation.

Methinks that your desire to bash those on the other side of the political aisle has been dashed by these pesky little things called facts.

 

Not concentration camps, but since they have resolved to oppose every single thing that the majority tries to push no matter what, yes send them away somewhere so the grown ups can get something done.

Out of those six, the only one that comes off as 100% genuine imo is Maddow. Sure, she gets silly sometimes, but she's smart, kind of funny, opinionated, and doesn't pretend to be "balanced". She states her reasoning and seems tolerable to me.

Everyone else puts on a damn show. Some are better fact checkers than others, but they're all still showbiz loons to me.

 

I like Matthews, that's about it.

Beck's and Olbermann's schticks are the most phony.

 

I cannot stand him enough to know what his fake views are but G. Beck is the worst d-bag of all of them. Olbermann is second to Beck easily.

O'Reilly had a chart on his show yesterday from an independent research firm that showed how much coverage was given to each candidate in Massachusetts (yeah, since it was on the Factor most people here will say it's a lie). Anyway, Fox easily had the most balanced coverage giving equal time to both candidates while MSNBC and CNN were skewed heavily towards Coakley.

 

here's a pesky fact for ya, it's been posted many times that fox news kills them in the ratings. i don't watch any of those shows and i know no liberal close to me that watches any of those shows, but the vast majority of my conservative friends watch or listen to rush/hannity/beck.

 

I truly don't understand why the Fairness Doctrine is not enforced. The last time I checked my word memory bank, the word 'news' did not mean opinions, it means the newest piece of information or fact. I don't care which political side the station is on, but a news station's main responsibility to the public should be to tell the news, not to push an agenda.

 

They have no responsibility to the public. They only have a responsibility to their investors.

It's not about the news, it's about the money.

 

Everything is always about the money.
