I love Amir Khan, and rarely does he come out with a bogus flick, but I thought Ghanjini was one of the worst movies of all time...

I didn't find it too great. The final half hour was way over the top.

The transition would not work. The two industries are completely different. It shows in why no American movie has done incredible in India. Even Slumdog Millionaire was not considered half as good in India as it was here.

3 Idiots just passed Ghanjini as the highest grossing film in Indian movie history.

So I'm guessing you didn't like the movie Momento....which it derived from.

Momento was alright. And I'm a huge fan of Aamir Khan, but Ghajni sucked donkey ass. The dude is walking around in a suit cut-off at work while he is the CEO of a multi-national company. Okay.........

Aamir Khan has been slipping a little bit. 3 Idiots was alright. Way too long for what it is. Parts of the movie go overboard with the preaching. That whole pregnancy scene was utterly pointless. Still a good movie I guess.

Dil Chahta Hai, Lagaan, Jo Jeeta Woh Sikandar are the holy trinity of Aamir Khan movies and nothing has come close.

Has anyone seen Hindustani with Kamala Hassan? One of my favorite movies of all time. Guru was really good too.

I'm surprised no one mentioned this one until now. If Bollywood wants promote strong storylines and quality movies that aren't the typical sing-in-the-rain-around-the-tree movies, then this should be on top of the list; definitely above 3 Idiots. Good acting, great story and unusually well execution.

I knew this would be the exact post right after mine.

You know I love RDB, but I said the holy trinity.

QSQT would be way up there as well.

Eh... Rand De Basanti is alright. I didn't care for how they made the cause extra dramatic, and the end was a cop out. Yea, I said it...

Taare Zameen Par >> Rand De Basanti

    "Holy Grail" of Aamir Khan:
    Dil Chahta Hai
    Jo Jeeta Woh Sikandar
    Lagaan
    Taare Zameen Par

3 Idiots was great up until the intermission. Everything went downhill from there. It was still a really good movie. But the second half just had way too many gaps and ended up being a mix between Dumb and Dumber and The Hangover for me. To think that these students are top engineers is mind boggling. Also, the "all is well" baby scene and Pia leaving her wedding like nothing happened did it for me. This would not pass any American standards as a good movie. None of the jokes would work either.

I thought Chopra's Munna Bhai was far better BTW.
