Exactly. The NBA has brought this upon itself by pushing individual names harder than the actual product on the court, or the teams themselves. Sure, you might get more people tuning in to see LeBron vs. Kobe as opposed to the Rockets vs. Magic, but it's a double-edged sword, and we're starting to see the other side of that now. People are so out of tune with the game that they are still willing to blindly vote for guys who are years past their primes. And I also agree that the numbers could very easily have been skewed to show that Nash has overtaken McGrady for the lead. There are absolutely no checks and balances in place to confirm anything at this point.
Amare doesn't deserve to start, but a person with this shooting chart deserves to start. http://www.nba.com/hotspots/
Nash is obviously more deserving and also a future HOF, but I just don't like the way NBA handled this. For the second year in a row now.... it was definitely rigged. I mean, T-Mac is probably going to decline it anyways, why can't they just be upfront about it. I bet they were going to do the same to AI except it would be way too obvious.
the same thing happened last year... last year chris paul passed tmac on the last voting part and this year its steve nash who passes him the nba voting is rigged
I don't really trust the NBA either, I'm sure that somehow someway this was rigged, not that I care if T-mac is an all-star or not, but it would have been nice to showcase him for trades
I never believe anything the NBA says or does to be honest. I'm sure the voting in for the all-star game is umm monitored by Stern,
I don't think Nash got more votes than T-MAC, they've been doing this for the past couple of years, T-mac always has been on the second place in the all star voting and they always change the votes in the last 2 days, is not that he deserve it though,,, but Cmon let the people decide...
Stern def rigged it. Great job Stern now I have no reason to watch. A soap opera trainwreck would have at least been fun to see.
Good job stern Seriously, this is 2 years in a row now that the NBA has rigged the voting in the final few days.
What do you honestly expect. I mean if guys really thought he was gonna start without even doing too much then thats crazy... I mean it was deja vu. Last year was the same. A couple of hours left and CP3 overtook McGrady. Now its nash. I wasn't really expecting to hear him start.
Although I'm happy he didn't get in and would've been upset if he did play, I'm positive it was rigged.
