LOL! So you want to gve up two assets for just Robinson? Cause Mobley and Darko are both zeros. TMacs contrat is a get out of jail free card for team over the tax. And although he hasn't proven squat, DM says Dorsey is the future of the center position in the NBA (I'm not so sure of that but I believe he can sell it to some gm that knows Morey knows more than he does).

Forget what they are listed as, in real life our pgs would be
    5'8
    5'9
    5'10

    Again LOL!

I could dig it. Then we could offer a package centered around Brooks for Bosh.

i dont agree completely here, but i do think Lowry could end up being a better pg for this team, assuming Yao stays and he's back to star level and we pick up another star for tmac...plus keep some of the other firepower we have in landry and budinger, possibly ariza....brooks' talent may just be a waste because he'll be a third option and that's not saying much when he'll probably take 10 shots or less.

Maybe Brooks can climb on Nate's back and we will have a 6'5 point guard...

and don't expect for nate AND brooks to be here. That's really redundant, not just in size, but type of player. Also, D'antoni needs shooters on his team, not lowry.

I don't see exactly what we give up here that's so bad. We're getting back expirings, so we can just as well flip those off as trade McGrady (if anything, trading those three will be easier as there are so many problems with trading a contract as large as T-Mac's) and Dorsey is not an asset, especially not one that's going to get anything. Darko's a whiny brat, but he could maybe become serviceable under our system and we really could use anyone over 7 feet at this point, Mobley's contract is actually fairly valuable due to the insurance, and Robinson isn't as bad as people think he is.
I would say that I don't think this is necessarily the best offer - from my perspective, the best case scenario is getting Butler. But if it got pulled off, I would hardly be disapppointed with the deal.

Not that i'm advocating this move and they are similar players, but from a depth perspective this move could help us. Our depth chart is awfully thin. We're a Brooks or Lowry injury away from throwing one of those guys to the wolves at 40 MPG. Basically, it's Rafer Alston territory. Is that really what we want to see again? I realize there are other probably less costly, more efficient ways to add depth, but Robinson is also a big number producer locked in at or below the market value for a player of his caliber. Maybe he's a MB player and nobody realizes it?

Okay, i'm done. That's about as positive as I can get about this idea! :)

His contract is in its last year, which means he'll want to re-sign for more than $4M.

The only reason I can see Morey trading for him is if he had a second trade lined up.

I actually do see some what a deal on the table with the Knicks, but it seems fair enough for Houston. NY won't be able to find a team to take on Curry and the best they can do is move Robinson, Harrington, Gallinari, Curry for McGrady, Ariza and cut his bloated contract into Jefferies size.

The way i see it Gallinari is better than Ariza and Trevor will play the Boris Diaw role with NY in the future. Why not replace what is earned to Ariza with Gallinari who would play the Pedja role.

They'll probably lure in a team maybe Portland to take Lee with Jefferies. At the very worst they would have atleast removed salary using pieces to do so.

Then Robinson and Harrington can be done through sign a trade for Houston in the off season and have Curry who'd be expiring..

Houston then swaps Andersen for Bayless and is the only way Houston does the deal as Portland ships out A.Miller to the Knicks to run their system. basically they replace Jefferies with a shorter contract with Miller to say the least as Portland only needs to move Miller to be set after next season rather than the season after the next season.

Houston: Galinarri, Bayless, Harrington, Robinson, Curry

    Portland: Lee, Jefferies

    New York: Miller, Ariza, McGrady
They moved a little more than what is earned to Jefferies off the books for next season.

We have one of the best benches in the NBA imo so i don't see oue depth as a problem except for 1 position. And its not one the lil Nate plays.

    1. why would mcgrady want to play for the knicks? their style doesn't fit his. they're a bad team. the media there woudl rip him into pieces pretty quick.

    2. those quotes are morey's desperate try to make the situation look less crappy. it's an image thing. morey tries to sell this as both sides agreed to end the relationship on good terms. in reality we know, though, that this isn't the case and that the rockets ended it and that's why they're in a worse situation now.

    3. since everybody knows it's just an image thing those quotes have no relevance at all to any trade rumors.

And have to take back the able but very expensive Calderon. The yin and yang of a Bosh deal is geeing and gawing - ly complex IMHO.

Everyone relax. Nate is an Asset+an expiring contract. If Morey trades for him, it's for the possibility of a turn around package deal or a S&T after the season.

    Let Morey work.
