What should the rockets do for the 2nd Half Season?

Trade for pieces that will help you next season when Yao gets back (and would in turn also help you this season), and still push for the playoffs this season.

 

Although tanking would get us a quality player for the future it is very risky.

By tanking you show that you've lost faith in your players ability to win. There is no way you can turn this team, a team that grinds out every night and gives it all it has into a team that is supposed to lose. It's just not happening these players would never give up.

The chance of even getting a decent draft pick is risky as well as even with a losing record a chance of a high pick is not guaranteed.

 

How are we going to save $$$ for next summer when 2/3s of our cash is in Tracy and Yao?

 

Trade for some players that can help the rockets win, and play well with Yao next season.

 

Seeking a trade to bring in some pieces that could contribute to this team is our priority, first and only priority now.

It's not only full of uncertainties ahead of us in the not distant future, but way too risky for us.

 

Theres only one way to tank and thats putting Cook and Dorsey out on the floor every night, and that would be disastrous to Landry.

 

Glad to see most people here have some pride and dignity and don't want to take the loser's approach to getting better -- tanking.

 

Tanking would be the smartest idea considering were not in a position to win a champioship anytime soon, might as well try a stock up some talent(ala grizzlies), but no way would morey and co go that route most likely he'll try bringing in help to make playoffs.

 

so half of the NBA teams, should be tanking then? because they have no chance to win a NBA championship anytime soon?

and by your idea, you need to tank 2 or 3 years, to stock up good players to be contenders for a championship

 

Trade or no trade, winners try to win it all every year. Regardless if no one else thinks you can do it, you go for it all. Guys with hearts of champions don't tank!

 

I'm for tanking; we need Morey to draft us a franchise player. What we get in return for TMac won't be high tier franchise players (Not Martin, A'mare, lets not mention Iggy, Butler)

Once again when you have a team who has arguably the most heart and puts out the effort that they do, no chance of tanking.

Plus tanking really makes the franchise look good..

 

Do you or anyone else have an idea as to who is going to be available in the draft this summer that is a potential franchise player?

 

You ALWAYS should try and make the playsoffs.... Playoffs means TONS of money for the organization and experience for our young players.

We are slumping, sure, but we're still winning our fair share, and a good turn is coming soon.

Nothing but playoffs should be on our mind at this point....no one thought we would be where we are record wise at the start of the season - and here we are...PLAY BALL.

 

Not enough options...at the very least, the poll should include what Morey has shown to be his goal from the beginning of the season. Win as many games as you can, making any deal you can make that improves the team now and in the future.
