The great JVG indeed! I miss him roaming the sidelines.

Best of days to the man who took a 100k fine for Yao and Houston!

If true then HBD. I still think Van Gundy is better for Yao than RA.

    Happy birthday, Jeff!

I once met him at the airport in L.A., he was still with the Rockets then. He was buying socks in one of the duty-free shops  ...I greeted him and talked to him for a few seconds...he seemed like a really likeable, down-to-earth person.

    Happy Birthday JVG!

He was a good coach for Yao, and for now he's a better commentator for the basketball.

The only NBA analyst today who gives the Rockets any credit.

    Happy B-Day JVG!!!

I've liked JVG for quite some time now. I was not always in love with his coaching style or his demeanor when being interviewed when he was coaching, but those are minor things. He accomplished a lot as a coach...much more than the "armchair coaches" who might put him down. But, I've really grown to appreciate his sense of humor, too, and his self-deprecation in terms of allowing himself to be made fun of (e.g., in those various ESPN commercials).

    Happy Birthday, JVG. :)

He ran the Houston Marathon on Sunday. Ran about a 4:14 if I recall correctly. Decent for first timer. Congrats to JVG!
