every tmac fan needs to get this through their brains...

WE GOT THAT TMAC. We got him for Steve Francis/Cuttino Mobley

We still couldn't get pass the first round.

PRIME McGrady didn't do squat for Orlando except send that team to the lottery.

what does the team have to do when we are comparing two players? I could say robert horry is a better player than karl malone because he won more championships.

    Team is everything.

Tmac cares more about himself than the team. That's why Trevor Ariza is playing and Tmac isn't.

Stop confusing us with the facts. TSlack > Kobe, TSlack > Lebron, TSlack > Shaq (yes, even in his prime), TSlack > MJ.

The topic is "Manu is better than Tmac". "Is" means the present. You are confusing it with "Was", You can create a new thread that says T-Mac was better than Ginobili, over 5 years ago, then we can all bring up T-mac's best era.

in Manu's 'best' era, he won a bunch of championships.

But Tmac fans don't care about championships dude, you haven't figured that out?

The further back we go, the less relevant it is. What we care about is what McGrady did in a Houston Rockets uniform and how things might have gone had another player -- like Ginobili -- took his place.

i want to change my viewpoint on a earlier page . i was wrong. I said a prime Gino is better than a prime Tmac because Gino has heart, and defense, and shooting % and rings.

What I failed to realize is that Gino had rode Duncans jock strap all the way to the finals along with Tony Parker making things look easy.

Lets go back to 2002 preseason. Gino played in the compaq center and Mobley outplayed him. I think duncan and parker sat out. Without duncan and parker, gino is like a mobley(prime) at best.

Fast forward 1 month, magic come to compaq and tmac and mike miller put on a dazzling show and DESTROY the rockets and mobley/francis and Rudy says in paper tmac is like a player from another planet because is so good.

    2002 tmac > 2002 gino

    2006 gino > 2006 tmac

tmac aged quickly , gino hasnt aged that much (except the spot on back of his head)

so all in all, if you could chose 1 year, tmac was the better prime player, however to build a team around, you would take gino because gino has given more good years despite coming over to usa late.

tmac was really only "great" from years 2001-2003 and thats it. gino will have a longer , more quality career though. Players like tmac, and francis, die out quickly once their knees go. Gino however uses smarts and fundamentals and those playes are like stockton,,nash and last longer.

I don't get alot of these people on here, T-Mac is still a very good player.

Let's look at his stats this year, per 36 minutes:
    Points: 14.9
    Rebounds: 3.7
    Assists: 4.7
    Turns: 0.9

These are some pretty good numbers when it comes to somebody's first six games off microfracture surgery, especially since he was scheduled to come back later.

There was obviously a conflict of interest between him and the organization that started last year in the whole injury situation. If that doesn't happen, he would still be playing.

That's a ridculous argument. Let me illustrate it with Brian Cook, the Rocket's version of the human cigar.

    Cook 17.2 pts > T-Mac 14.9 pts
    Cook 9.4 rbs > T-Mac 3.7 rbs
    Cook 0.0 asts < T-Mac 4.7 asts
    Cook 7.8 to < T-Mac 0.9 to

    Here's the final killer.

    Cook 44.4% FG > T-Mac 36.8%(Rafer, is that you?)
    Cook

Using your standards, Brian Cook is even better than T-Mac. LOL
