Thanks guys for your advice, I am calling pawn shops right now, and its a good thing that my name is engraved in it, since they won't take the ring if it doesn't match the person pawning it, but i still realize it is a long shot
of course! there are more pressing matters... like sitting on the side of a major interstate or under a freeway to meet quotas. anyhow, i've filed a few reports myself. nothing done for any of them although ample information was given.
set up a fake myspace using her pics and stuff and make youtube vids of the both of yall ,then wait a few months ,and send it then to her next boyfriend. i did this years ago. it worked. she went apesh!t and threatened cops ,so i took it down, then i went on whitepages and got the address of her bf but i didnt do anything becuz i met my wife and told me to stop before i got in trouble...why i do all of this? she not only stole a ring, stole thousands and called my parents 1,000 miles away with a prank call.
You need to get the ring back yourself from the girl. The cops don't have time to help. They are going to do nothing. My house was broken into and they did nothing. I had receipt for a Nintendo Wii, PS3, and Sony Vio Laptop and they told me to call around to pawn shops. The pawn shops wouldn't even check they just told me we don't have your things. So police don't care. They just want to give speeding tickets to get a paycheck.
lol. I know pulling over speeders seems like an unworthy alternative, but it really doesn't seem like a worthwhile expense to have these guys tracking down petty thefts. Pretend for a moment they had a cop who specialized in investigating these petty thefts (there's more than enough, I'm sure, to keep this guy busy for 40+ hours/week). Would solving those crimes and bringing those petty perps to justice be worth his $40k salary, plus benefits, plus car, gun, etc., plus the time of the court system, the space in the county jails, etc.? I don't think we get our money's worth. At least a traffic cop pays for himself in fines collected. I'll be satisfied with the mild moral aversion most people have to stealing, and whatever justice people can extract on their own without getting into trouble.
Dammit: "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Fatty FatBastard again." This was one of the first things I thought of.
This is all true, but the telling part about it is that justice doesn't fit anywhere in this equation. Cops are primarily the fundraising wing of the state - everything else is secondary.
Post Pics or GTFO. If hot then pimp her out to the bbs untill she earns back triple what she stole. Russian style
Well, usually one thing leads to another. They are may have committed other crimes. You would be surprised how many violent felons get caught, because they committed a misdemeanor or traffic violation.
See folks. I told you class rings were awesome and worth not only keeping, but reporting to authorities when stolen. I'm vindicated.
