why wouldn't he want to stay there? bosh doesn't seem like a guy who prefers the big cities and he has stated he wants to win. kevin durant is already a top 3 scorer and is only getting better. and they're young, with a terrific coach in brooks.

Because free agents were all clamoring to play in Seattle?

Like where Presti was working at before OKC, if you build a winner, they will come. You build a trio...a monster trio..like what the Spurs did with Duncan/Parker/Ginobili internally, gain some success, and free agents are willing to relocate.

Durant and Westbrook has a longgg ways to go before they get to Duncan/Parker status of yesteryear but they are a good team. Add a Chris Bosh to the duo and it's one monstrous trio.

If the Rockets miss out on Bosh(thanks to Lakers or Thunder), there's always Anthony Randolph he provides the same length, and has the potential to b/c as good as Bosh(only 20 yrs old).....

Plus he could be had for a lot cheaper price than bosh...and also the rockets have shown Interest in Randolph b/f > Link (some warrior fans sure do seem interested in trading with us )

Really now? When has anyone averaged 30 pts on 48% FG? No volume scorer comes close to that % outside of LBJ. If you don't think 30 ppg on almost 50% FG isn't "carrying your team" then you wouldn't know a franchise player if he ate dinner at your house.

How is OKC any less of a destination than San Antonio?

The GM/Pres/Coach there seem to have their heads on straight and going about this the right way. If they win, and become a legit contender or almost contender with Durant + Westbrook, then I see no reason why they won't be able to attract big name talent.

Since the shot clock era (79-80) the players who have averaged
    30 pts, 7 rbs, on 48.% shooting

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/tiny.cgi?id=6GePs

    Will make it short, 4

The players to also average 2.9 assists while doing it - 2.

Location hasn't mattered since the 90's, when Shaq moved to LA. Money and team success have now trumped location, and its not like Seattle is Los Angeles or New York in the first place.

Wade, LeBron, Karl Malone and Moses Malone each did it one season. See link above.

Thunder are becoming a very fun team to watch. Only problem is their young talent is due to get paid in a year or so. I'm not sure how much, if at all, they will go into luxury tax territory.
