It's not karma. It's called the result of cheap management. Houston and Portland have their shares of misfortunes. But they are still respectable teams because they build to win, not build to make money like the Clippers.

Donald Sterling is hands down the most despicable owner in all sports.

I love how Jackson mixed eastern beliefs with Jewish terminology. Phil must feel that he has a lot of good karma since he got to ride the greatness of Jordan, Shaq, and Kobe to so many rings.

This, IMO, is an outdated cliche of who the Clippers are. They used to be cheap and all about money when they refused to give out big contracts, sure.. but since then, they've given Baron and Maggette huge deals and took on the contract of Camby (not smart financially). For all Sterling has done to earn his cheap reputation, you have to give him kudos for recent years.. he's really opened up the wallet.

Blame Dunleavy.. the Clippers have enough talent on that team to be in the playoffs. The fact that they aren't is a reflection on their coach, not their owner - Dunleavy has been able to sign/trade for anyone he's wanted.

I've read previously that dunleavy is a horrible coach and many people feel this way. Remind me again why is this, and why don't they just part with him?

Sadly, Shaq & Kobe couldn't get over the hump w/o Phil, and Kobe and MJ all have won their rings with him.

Both sides are apart of their championship success, no coat-tail riding there.

They gave Baron Davis his current contract and were the other team willing to give Elton Brand another bad contract in the League.

Sterling hasn't been cheap since he hired Dunleavy.

Maybe Sterling is just too cheap to fire Dunleavy.

When I say Sterling is despicable, it's not just how he runs the franchise, but how he is just a notorious scumbag who treats blacks, Latinos, women etc. like dirt, and he seems to do it without shame.

Sterling is definitely a scumbag. Plenty of stories circulating in the LA area from people who've been around him.
