Allen Iverson is a shoot first pass 2nd, Brooks is the opposite. Plus AI is more of a slasher than Brooks is.

The difference? Boatloads of talent, more skills and heart all in favor of Iverson.

Look, I love Brooks but you guys are getting ridiculous with these comparisons. You're going to compare Brooks with the best 6 footer to ever play the game and probably one of the top 5 scorers ever? Come on.

Brooks is not the opposite. He shoots less, but he's not the opposite.

Iverson is arguably the toughest guy in the league and has been for the last 15 years. The guy is all heart and competitor.

How did that need explaining for anyone who follows the NBA?

I don't disagree that Iverson has (had?) a lot of heart; I highly disagree that he clearly edges Brooks in the 'heart' department.

If work ethic equates to heart in any way, which I think it does, Brooks is clearly ahead.

Plus, Brooks shows emotion in his play, his reactions, and his interactions on the court. The guy has a lot of heart and absolutely hates losing.

A 2010 Brooks is probably very similar to a 2003 Iverson in "heart".

I don't even question Brooks' heart, but once he plays through about 20 sprained ankles all the while continuing to embarrass any defenders we'll be able to say he's very similar to AI.

It's a tough thing to compare but Iverson played at a high level through injury and after injury and never complained.

I find it a bit absurd that anyone can be compared to Iverson in the heart department without ever having played through adversity as a pro.

I have always said that Arron Brooks lacks stop and go acceleration and change of direction speed.

If he was ever to gain those and couple it with a nifty cross over, then he would go to another level.

But with that said, a young Iverson was quicker, bigger, stronger, longer, more athletic and had better handles.

Aaron played with a ankle problem in his fist year and have played with sore ankles all year.

A lot of player had played with sprained ankles is not new, just the media have love to embrace superstars and AI have been the poster boy for toughness. I haven see any softness on Brooks and any lack of heart.

AI and his gangster look don't give him a bigger heart over Brooks.

Iverson at Brooks age would demolish Brooks. There is no comparison.
