I think that's fairly accurate esp. if he continues to improve at this tilt

I can't believe how many of the people in that draft thread (see Carl Herrera's sig) were agonizing that we drafted AB instead of Josh McRoberts. Too funny.

There was at least one poster who blasted the picks, and then when they turned out to be pretty good insisted that it wasn't Morey doing the drafting but Adelman (for Brooks) and Rockets scouts (for Landry). OK then.

    lol.

    that was a good exhibition.....

I did not know who was Brooks but I liked any pick for a PG because I thought Rafer should be gone that summer.
Morey failed me from the other angle.

He has exceeded probably the majority of expectations. He is probably ahead of schedule where the Rockets planned on his being. But, have not exceeded what they believe his potential is.

Portland 07' Draft: Greg Oden, Josh McRoberts, Channing Frye, Rudy Fernandez

suprisingly, Portland didn't have such a great draft after all. with, i suppose, the exception of Rudy.

You have no idea how relieved I was when I got to my post and found I was one of the very few people who hadn't lost his mind.

    Here is what I said:

I'm so glad to know I was smart enough to have faith in Daryl Morey even then. By the way, this is my favorite post so far:

    http://bbs.clutchfans.com/showpost.php?p=3002644&postcount=686

It's all the more beautiful because you can see his current sig.

"Why draft another PG when we already have Rafer, JL3, VSpan, Mike James and Luther Head? It makes no sense."

    LOL. Too funny.

Just for comparison, here are the draft results from No. 10 to 26 (Brooks). Looking back with hindsight, are there any player that would have been worth giving up Brooks and trading up for? Thaddeus Young? Al Thornton? Rodney Stuckey?

    10.Spencer Hawes C Sacramento Kings
11 Acie Law G Atlanta Hawks
    12 Thaddeus Young F Philadelphia 76ers
13 Julian Wright F New Orleans Hornets
14 Al Thornton F Los Angeles Clippers
15 Rodney Stuckey G Detroit Pistons (from Orlando)
16 Nick Young G/F Washington Wizards
17 Sean Williams F/C New Jersey Nets
18 Marco Belinelli G Golden State Warriors
19 Javaris Crittenton G Los Angeles Lakers
20 Jason Smith F/C Miami Heat (traded to Philadelphia)
21 Daequan Cook G Philadelphia 76ers (from Denver, traded to Miami)
22 Jared Dudley F Charlotte Bobcats (from Toronto via Cleveland)
23 Wilson Chandler F New York Knicks (from Chicago)
24 Rudy Fernández G Phoenix Suns (from Cleveland via Boston, traded to Portland)
25 Morris Almond G Utah Jazz
    26 Aaron Brooks

Please pardon my ignorance, but I don't follow the NBA as closely as I once did. Who are the players from that 2007 draft that are doing as well or better than AB or Landry.

    Edit :
PepperMintCandy , sorry didn't see your post at the time of typing. :p
