I don't have any hookups but if you want advice you need to be way more specific. Are you looking to cure them, raise them, whisper to them, groom them, experiment on them, butcher them or cook them? Also what type of animals? There is a going to be a big difference between working with fish versus working with dogs.

I know a place that is part time, very flexible in terms of hours, and depending on your shift you can watch TV (including NBATV) for most of your shift as long as you get your work done by the end of it. They're always looking for help and tend to hire students, but it starts at minimum wage. It's basically a small facility that houses rescue dogs and also does boarding/grooming. At any given time you would be caring for between 40 to 90 dogs (holiday boarding gets crazy). E-mail me if you still have any interest.
