I've been very impressed with Brooks lately. He is definitely showing why he and Lowry are completely different players with their own strengths and weaknesses.

No doubt about it, our 2007 picks are the steals of this decade. We've obtained two all-star/6th man quality players in one year with relatively low picks.

AB is not a 6th man, he is a borderline ALL STAR starter at the PG position.

AB is da man. i don't understand the hate from some members on cf. he's our best player and our go to guy... not to mention it is awesome that a guy that is average sized for a dude is killin it.

 

I know he is not a 6th man. That's why I put a all-star/6th man, because the 6th man rightfully belongs to Landry.

Even if that's the case, who says a 6th man is incapable of exhibiting all-star qualities?

 

It's nice to see the jumper fall consistently and also Aaron's finishing better.
Brooks is really more of a scorer,proved that at Oregon and is doing it at the highest level now. Put him on the floor at point and he'll rack up assists but scoring is his forte. When he starts to get more calls on his drive .....For now stop and pop AB.

There are only a handfull of players that I would trade Aaron for.

 

I agree with you DD, and i'm starting to get pretty annoyed by all the Rockets fans who underrate him and say Lowry should start over him. Don't get me wrong, Lowry is great, but he doesn't have the same potential to take over games and be the STAR of his team.

I think both Landry and Brooks could be all stars.....and not just 6th men.

But you are right, 6th men can have all star qualities, but I don't see very many of them actually being all stars.

Lowry might not have the offensive potential to take over games, but his skill set is way above Aaron's.

If the starting lineup didn't consist of Battriza (two legit shooters instead), then Lowry should get the start.

 

Usually 6th men come off the bench, hence the 6th.....because....there...are...5 players on the court.... genius.

 

Are you kidding? Lowry's only skill is to get to the line and it is not way above Aaron.

 

Calm down there. He's a gunner on a team with no offensive fire power. He is Jason Terry. A good scorer, average decision-maker (seriously, who throws the ball to Battier at the three point line on a 2 on 1 fast break?) and ok passer.

He doesn't make anyone around him better. I hate to get down on him because I really like him and think he is a great ROLE player but he isn't a guy I want running the show if the goal is to win a Championship. He just misses too many plays that should be obvious to a good NBA PG.
