I mean HATE a Rocket player.

Personally, I would only HATE a Rocket for a lack of heart. I can forgive a lack of skill and a lack of brains, and still support a player who wears Houston Rocket red, even if they suck but give all they have.

None of those reasons. I hate them for being an a-hole.

I hated Charles Oakley when he was a Rocket and when he wasn't. I almost hated Antoine Carr. I definitely hated Scottie Pippen.

I certainly wouldn't question Oakley's heart. He had that. His brains seemed mediocre and he definitely had some specialized skills.

Personally I hate Trevor Ariza for his character, he doesn't have a good heart. The dude threw an elbow out of frustration and committed a flagrant foul on Rudy Fernandez on a clear fastbreak layup.

He has no morals, I don't like players like that on my team and want no part of those type of players. And to top it off he doesnt distribute the ball amongst his teammates well, take last night for example Aaron and Landry on fire and he shoots a three without even passing the ball, it ridiculous. His character mirrors over to his playmaking decisions on the court.

Yes, every player who has ever started a fight or committed a hard foul out of frustration is person with no morals and a bad heart.

As long as a guy gives it his all, I won't hate him. Unless his name is Rafer Alston.

Trevor frustrates the hell out of me, but I don't hate him. To say he has no morals? Not sure you can justify that statement with those two fouls. The one on DeRozen was just stupid, the one on Rudy, it's been a few months, but I remember not agreeing with the call, when players hold the ball up to score and then double clutch (like Landry) they get smacked across the head, Trevor tried to swipe at the ball, but got alot of head, it only looked bad because he was in the air and he had a nasty fall, partly Trevor's fault, but it would be difficicult to prove he is dirty, has no morals, etc.

The NBA has gotten ridiculous with fouls. Time after time players throw their hands (alot of players on our team do this) and they go to the line, but when there is real hard contact many times it goes uncalled. Not to mention continuation in this league. I wish we could teach our players once you hear the whistle you might as well keep fouling, so many times players stop turn to the ref and their man scores. How did I get so far off subject? Must of dreamt of a lot of basketball last night.

Actually thought it was a disguised Ariza hate thread lol...

The word "HATE" is to strong...dislike???...I could see myself doing that but honestly it would have to be someone quitting on the team or leaving them hanging dry otherwise not really.

    I voted lack of brains.

    Brian Cook says hi.

I mean, you could want to win a game with all of your HEART, and have the SKILLS to do so (Cook IS in the NBA after all), but lack of brains?

Cook might as well be the scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz.

3 strikes and your out type deal? If you are guilty of 1/3rd or 2/3rds of your poll list, you probably shouldn't get too much hate. If you are guilty of all 3, probably everyone hates you.

I voted lack of brains because I would hate a Rocket for being a thug off the court, getting caught in a media scandal, or pulling a gun on a teammate in the locker room.

    Lack of offense skills.

31 years old and he still has to look at the ball when he dribbles.

Hate a Rocket? Hate is a strong word, perhaps better applied to other situations.

Considering what it takes to make it to the NBA, stay in the NBA, and be part of the rotation in the NBA, I have to give those who do that a certain amount of respect....doesn't mean we should overlook their personal shortcomings, but hate?

For sure, some players I like better than others, but hate? Where does that come from?

why hate anyone that you do not even know?

There was a guy who did not even hate the one who killed his family in an airplane accident.

An overpaid contract will make any fan cringe.

When we talk about "heart" a lot is related to how much they earn.

That might be considered the same as "skill."

I mean, Chuck is amazing on defense, but just bad on offense, due to not being skillful or talented in that part of the game.

But that doesn't mean people should hate him.
