I think Keon would be a good fit for us if we could sign him for a few years at a reasonable price. Maybe we could do a sign and trade type deal with Cato and one of our PFs. Yao wont be much of a factor for at least 2 years and he probly wont be able to log a whole lot of minutes either. Although I still think a backup 2 is still the top priority.

Not unless we need a ladder to post our 2002-2003 Midwest Division Champion banner. :)

Though the Raptors retracted their qualifying offer, I believe they said they would not be averse to some kind of sign-and-trade involving Clark. And Clark wasn't that bad in the West. In his sophomore season with Denver he averaged 22.8mpg, 8.6ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.41bpg. Some fairly decent numbers for a backup.

I don't hate the Rocket Guy or anything, in fact, I used to read his stuff all the time.

But sometimes I wonder WHERE he gets his stuff from?

What gives him the idea Seattle can only offer Lewis 4.7M? They said they're going over the luxury tax, meaning they're going to sing him to much more than 4.7M. Even if they dont' exceed the tax limit, I'm sure they can offer more than 4.5M.

Also, he doesn't say what happens to the rest of the players. So we trade away KT, problem solved? NO. We're overstocked as it is. Listen, I, as much as YOU, would love to have KT play 12 minutes and wait eagerly just in case someone gets injured, so he can play for a while, and then return to his 12 minutes. But KT is NEVER going to be happy with less than 20 minutes. With T-Mo putting on some weight, and us having 2 C's (Cato can play PF), that 3rd string PF isn't that much of a big deal. If we get Clark, we'd have to ship off 2 frontcourt players. It's not Griffin. So are we shipping Mo and KT away? Griffin and Clark collectively weigh as much as Shaq probably. That's not good. Ming is also not physically GREAT just yet.

Believe me. I'd love to have Clark, but this team has a strange situation up front. We want another piece, and Rice is semi-marketable because his huge contract is short. But we need that contract for Griffin's extension. Plus, a Ming/Clark C rotation is too thin. I think Cato/Ming/Griffin/MoT gives us 4 TOTALLY different looks, and I really really love it. They're games complement each toher perfectly. if we're looking for scoring punch, we go with Ming/Taylor. If we want shotblocking, we go for Cato/Griffin. We're looking for toughness, Cato/Griffin. Speed? MoT/Griffin.

I think the only move we should be making is KT for a defensive-minded backup SG, and let Torres go. T-Mo and Cato are more than capable of 3rd string minutes at PF. T-Mo needs the extra minutes, since Rice and Nachbar are going to take up lots of minutes at SF.
