Dallas wants Lewis??? well Dallas wants to beat sacramento too but it aint happenin. ;)

dallas is screwing themselves over with all their contractual obligations. what happens in a few years when all their contracts cant be moved bc of horrible production form these big contract players? they end up like the bullets/wizards a few years ago.

i can't believe nobody has brought up the fact that a reality based trade in spite of the fact that Seattle does not like to trade in the same conferance could be worked out. with Vin Baker gone.....Maurice Taylor would be a good fit for Seattle and just sign Lewis for the same money Motay makes. Rashard would have to accept a smaller contract for the opportunity to come home or sign for three years and try again.

I really think we could get Lewis to H-town if we all hit the streets & the airwaves in the next 24 hours and campaign for this. Start a propaganda session all out tomorrow before Shard meets with those greedy Sonic executives who wont pay him the MAX, which he is clearly worth :) :( :)

Clearly, coming to Houston will showcase his dynamic all-world skills for all to see. We have the depth & the talent to go to the playoffs, but we really need a hard-nosed up and cummer to take us to that next stage.

Damn, if that does not convince him then damn, I don't know what will. Lets make this thing happen just to see how much juice we really have here at clutchcity.net! It will be funny and a challenge during this boring week where not much is happening in Rocket news. Ok, I will start the sequence of events to land Rashard in H-town off by pressing "Submit" to this insane post.

Who would you rather have playing the 3; Adrian Griffin, Greg Buckner or Rashard Lewis? If you picked anyone other than Rashard you are on crack.

Since Dallas started playing Dirk at the 4 they have a very serious drop off at the 3 spot on the offensive end of the floor. Rashard would absolutely improve that team.

Is Michael Finley not an option?

Considering they have both Nash and Van Exel, I would suspect Finley would get a lot of minutes at the 3.

Does anyone tell me a few Dallas fans BBS? A good one. I want to follow some Wang Zhizhi's news. I remember someone posted a link here. I just cannot find it. That BBS looks like having the same style of clutchcity.net. Thanks.

Finley is an option but Dallas likes MF at the 2. Dallas only started Nash and Nick once together last year that I am aware of and that was in a game against Sac (play offs). Nellie loves having Nick come off of the bench for instant offense. Buckner got most of the starts at the three after MF came back off of the injured list last year.

How can adding Rashard to their team not make them better?

    Edited for the following:

Finley got a lot of minutes at the three when Dallas went small with Nick and Nash in the back court primarily in the 4th quarter but that was not their regular line up.

I read somewhere that they want to play Dirk at the 3 next season.

That was always their plans but with the mavs lack of good low post players and rebounders Dirk benifits the team more at the 4 which is why he spent most of his time there last year.

IMO Dallas would help its self a lot more if they could land Kandiman and move Raef to the 4 and Dirk back to the 3.

Because Dallas needs a physical big man up front if they're going to advance. 2 years ago the Spurs killed them up front and destroyed them in the 2nd round. Last year the Kings did the same thing. A team with a physical presence up front has their way with the Mavericks. How does Rashard Lewis help them? Even with Lewis they STILL have trouble with physical frontcourt teams like the Lakers, Kings and Spurs. Dirk got DESTROYED by Webber because Dirk has trouble with physical players, they wear him down. Leaving him at the 4 spot benefits physical teams.

They could always trade Van Exel for a big man. I remember a while back there were trade rumors that they were trading Van Exel for Kurt Thomas and Charlie Ward.

Yeah, then Seattle can add Van Exel to Payton and Anderson and run the 3 head case PG offense.

My mistake. For some crazy reason I thought Rashard was better than Adrian Griffin and Greg Buckner but your right Rashard is not an improvement over those two.

    Mark Cuban Quote

"Rashard would add a lot to our team," Cuban said. "Obviously having him at small forward and forcing a power forward to guard Dirk [Nowitzki] would be great for us. I don't know if we have a great chance, but when you come down to it, Rashard is the type that wants a chance to win a ring."
