Talk a fellow Rockets fan off the ledge- is Rick Adelman really this bad of an in-game coach, or is this year just a function of the lack of a go-to scorer?

Well, would a smart coach play Chase Budinger 3 minutes in a triple overtime game? On the night of a back-to-back? Yes, he is a mediocre coach. Not a championship caliber one.

Damn a mediocre coach has almost 900 wins has been to the finals and makes the playoffs year in and year out.

Eh whatever, I know Rick Adelman is clutchfan's favorite son much like Kyle Lowry. Nonetheless, he manages minutes horribly and makes poor in-game decisions (especially when teams make runs on us). He is a good offensive coach, however.

Why would you give an unproven rookie significant minutes in overtime?

I really don't understand all the Chase hype on this board.

He's an awesome player and fun to watch, but he's not a star.

His shooting percentages are pretty awful, his defense isn't anywhere near elite, and he turns the ball over pretty often.

All right. I'll concede. Rick Adelman is not as good of a coach as Phil Jackson himself.

I still love him to death.

He was holding him back for that key 3rd overtime.

I don't care what Adelman has done in the past(with the Blazers, Sacramento). My concern is what he is doing right now. Which is not making timely substitutions, leaving the wrong people in, and setting our players up to fail with the offensive schemes he has them run(they rarely get anyone open or free with ease)

You're on the ledge because of one game?

    Weather must fair, fan.

Well, since the New Orleans choke job. Also, "the ledge" is metaphorical my dense little friend.
