I think in regards to his potential weight gain that it may have to do with the turtle neck he is wearing. Everyone looks kinda chubby in a turtle neck. In addition, if he has gained weight, it's understandable. He can barely walk due to the injury.
I'm sure its pretty difficult keeping your weight down when you are recovering from foot surgery and you now have a wife to gorge your with food everyday
