Bosh is a great player! So to trade for him would be a great combination with Yao. But what do we have to give up for him? Even if we gave up Landry and Brooks, thats still under 5 million dollars. Bosh i think makes around 17! How many fillers are we going to have to give up? Also, is Bosh worth LANDRY AND BROOKS! For the production of Landry and Books, a decent one-two punch for 1/3 the salary of Bosh imo is not worth it. I would rather keep Brooks and Landry and look for a good wingman (AI, Butler, Martin, others).

Is Bosh really worth a Brooks and Landry? Heck no. Tmac, sure. Players like Brooks and Landry are critical to this team. I wouldn't do it...

It is a testament to Morey's beastiness that he can turn a late first rounder and a 2nd rounder into a package that is potentially too much for a legit 20-10 all-star. I mean, do you guys remember when people on this board got upset when they found out a couple year ago that Artest could be had for Brooks and Morey turned it down? SO AWESOME!

Absolutely. If only just to keep him away from the Lakers.

Our goal before the season started was to turn our role players into super assets for bargaining chips for true superstars. Bosh was always a name on this short list to target. So now that we've done our part in turning Brooks and Landry into supers, and Bosh is actually becoming a slight possibility, why the change of heart? I'd like to not trade both, but if it came down to that or bust, I'd probably do it.

No way! I think giving brooks and landry is too much! They are a big part of our success this season. I think bosh is a good player but that raptors team hasnt been successful at all, and in the eastern conference. What if he doesnt even re-sign with us in the offseason? I would just wait til he becomes a free agent and try to bring him in.

Ariza, Landry, Brooks, Cook (expiring) for Bosh works contractually, and it works for me.

    A resigned Bosh...maybe.

An expiring Bosh + bad contracts that will still be here next year when he runs off somewhere else to play with LeBron or Wade? Nope.

For a second there, I thought when you said "AI" you meant Iverson.

What sad is when people start looking at a player as an individual and not on how much he can help the team, then they tend to lose focus.

I voted YES... but it's really based upon the type of assets we get in return for T-mac.

I think everyone on this board knows how I feel... But to clarify..

Brooks (Young,Scorer,1yr remaining on rookie contract)
Ariza (Horrible 3pt shooter, good defender, tall, has length)
Scola (Very crafty, able to draw fouls (flop), double double guy (almost) but is getting old) Also Expiring Contract
T-mac (No need to explain, Expiring contract)
Cash + Pick (To sweeten the deal with Toronto)
    Cook (Expiring Contract)
    for

    Bosh (Brooks,Scola,Ariza,Cook + Sweetners)
    Iggy (T-mac)
    Dalembert. (T-mac)

Would Toronto want Landry instead? Of course because he still has 1 year remaining on his rookie contract. But I would press hard and throw in Cash + future pick for them to take Scola instead. But if they said no and the only catch was Landry... Then we drop our sweetners and they add a pick.

Everyone on this board wants the Rockets to have the best asset to have the opportunity to win a championship... But remember that the other team too is wanting to win... Can't give up chump for someone with great talent.. Isiah isn't a GM anymore.

Bosh won't win you games and won't be that guy you want to rely on in the clutch deep in the playoffs.
I believe Aaron Brooks can become that player.

He has been our starting PG for less than a year, yet has showed that he can be a beast in the playoffs. He is averaging 18ppg, 5apg, 2rbpg. He's only been in this league for 2 years and is 24 years old.
When I look at the teams in this league, I only see 9 PG's that are better than Brooks, and 7 of them are 2-3 years older than him.

Our PF combo of Scola-Landry combine for 35 ppg and 15rbpg. Landry is one of the most efficient offensive players in the entire league.

There is no way, and you can sig-quote me, talk to your kids about me, heck even repeat what i'm going to say to your dog, that Brooks and Landry leave in a deal for Chris Bosh.

You cant just look at their ppg and add them up as they both play some minutes at center as well. Also, at least for this year, for argument's sake, if we were to trade Landry, we'd still have Bosh + Scola, which is still >> Scola + Landry. Losing Brooks on the other hand....that'd hurt...

Houston is probably the least likely destination for Bosh, don't know why so many of you guys are stuck on him. The Rockets just don't have what the Raptors are looking for, the Raptors GM has already stated in the media that IF he was to trade a star player he would have to get a young guy who has a CHANCE on being a franchise player. Nobody on the Rockets fits the bill other than Yao, so there is a VERY low probability he becomes a Rocket......

I also think Iggy is a pipe dream as well......the Rockets would have to be willing to take a horrible contract if another team is willing to get rid of an asset..... unless the Rockets don't take Elton Brand, Iggy will never be a reality.
