Serious trade talks involving Francis and Cat for unhappy payton!!!

To me, Payton is an MVP type player, but saying that I'd rather have Cat Shandon and Stevie. I like that combo.

Payton is an AWFUL team player, he destroys players confidence. I would HATE to ever have him as a Rocket, he is a loser and always will be one.

Let me see if I can turn Rockeem's rather embarassing post to a more interesting one: Excluding salaries, would you have traded say Francis + Anderson + McLain + Maloney (trying to get the collective salaries up) + future #1 for Payton BEFORE THE PIPPEN TRADE.

Think about it, we didn't know Hakeem was that run down nor did we know Barkley and Tmass would break down. We also got our dream FA in Shandon during the offseason. Things very looking Rosy, we looked prime for a final run of Hakeem's and first for Chuck. Our line up would have been:

C Hakeem, Pig
PF Chuck, Tmass
SF Pip, Bullard
SG Mobley, Drew
PG Payton, Drew

On paper that team would have looked like a winner.

I propose a "waste of time" icon for Clutch or the forum moderator to paste next to any thread with as many posts and as little merit as this one. Three Z's in a row might be one way to do it. And I'm happy to help apply that icon.

 

The rox would never trade Franchise, cuz that would be trading the whole team. Mobley is also pretty good. Seattle also would not do that trade, it would hurt seattle fans.
