the more i look at it the more i think morey would be inclined to go after martin. his offensive production is just dominant because of how insanely efficient he is and how often he gets to the line. ...but he is on the level of steve nash defensively.

what i don't understand is why the kings would want to do this trade. they likely would not be able to get a max contract guy (maybe they think they can) and they have a ton of worthless players expiring for them this offseason. i guess if they really hate kevin martin then they might do this for him and KT. but i don't see it happening unless we take on nocioni's horrible contract.

I'm not sure any of these players on their own makes us a contender. I'd rather have Iggy, but We still need height.

With Ariza and Battier already here, Martin would be the best fit. Too bad he's headed down Michael Redd's career path.

Butler's the best overall player, Iggy's has the most important qualities (age, durability), Martin's the best fit (shooting, at-will scoring).

BTW your sig has trophy spelled wrong, only one T.

Anyway, I like Iggy and his game but the real killer has to be the long term contracts that Morey would be handcuffing himself with, Dalembert not so bad as he expires after next season but that's still going to be 12 mill on a back up center.

I guarantee that if they sweeten the deal for us say throw in Young or Speights, its a done deal but until or unless that happens I see Morey leaning towards the Butler deal he is turning 30 but really that's not that old. He still has a lot of miles and the extra expirings would help a ton.

    Andre Iguodala:

    Youngest
    Elite Scorer
    Can Dribble

He is everything Ariza wishes he could be plus we would probably get Dalembert with Iggy so that would give us the size we would need.

The most durable one with the best defense, Iggy.

Roll with Martin.. for a week? Until he gets hurt again? Do people not realize how much he's injured? Iggy all day, everyday.

I'm willing to give him a chance to see how things work out. He's still young and is an elite scorer. As long as he doesn't start popping off at the mouth and piss on the organization. He should be fine.

Sounds like a win win situation with either one of those guys. Get it done Morey.

Gotta say Martin is my answer, he is the best 2 guard of the 3 mainly because he does what SG's do... shoot the ball from the perimeter and 3 point line. He is a pure shooter ala Reggie Miller. He sucks at defense that is true but we already have 2 very good wing defenders so he is the best fit. Injuries are injuries I will just hope he doesnt have them in the playoffs thats it.

I pick Kevin martin simply because he is a great shooter and he can play off the ball.

what good is his scoring ability if he's out with injuries for at least 35% of the season?? We already expect Yao to miss at least that many...we cant have two of our leading scorers out with injuries. We saw what happened with that in the Yao-Mac Era...

Morey will be looking at the entire package, not just the main player.

With Iggy, you'll have to take back Dalembert.

With Martin, you'll have to take back Nocioni/Udrih.

With Butler, you may be able to swing getting Haywood, Miller, McGee, etc...

So, I think it will ultimately be the package that he considers, and I'm thinking of those 3, it will be Butler.
