I doubt they will give Dorsey many minutes. He might be fouled out again  I am starting to get concerned with the Rockets they keep changing line ups adding and removing players.

I hope thats the case because if Morey is willing to give up one of our prized assets in Scola or Landry, then it must mean someone good is coming to the rockets.

It's one month until the tradeline and the Rockets are shopping players. It's going to keep changing, hopefully. In particular, I hope they add Bosh or Iggy next.

A Dorsey showcase. LOL. Showcasing Dorsey is like showcasing William Hung on American Idol. What a joke! You, guys, can't be serious.

He's just another 6 fouls that will come in, after Scola or Landry is traded.

I personally hope Dorsey keeps it up and gives us a little of what he was at Memphis. I know Dleague isn't much of a guage but he does have solid over the top numbers. That FG% is insane... not including his rebounding. He's also quick which goes with our team.

Sorry to say... but this DOES smack of trade relevance.

I can't imagine, though, that the Rockets are wanting to see if Dorsey can step in to replace Hayes, Scola or Landry so they can then trade one or more of them. He hasn't, and isn't, going to make that kind of leap in a few weeks in D-Leauge work. I would be shocked. I would also be shocked if the Rockets are thinking that way. More likely, the Rockets have raved about his progress (as a trade asset) to a prospective team/trading partner and are hoping in some regular game minutes over the next month for him to live up to their build-up. Then he gets included in some trade.

I actually would be relieved if the story is correct on the face of it... if they think he can help the current roster and schedule. But the timing is just too suspect.

50 cent is back. I actually think he could be a pretty good player. But Adelman is very particular about his lineup, so I just don't see Dorsey getting any minutes. The bench has missed you.

I really want to see Dorsey play. I mean, he can't be worse than Andersen defensively and he's a solid rebounder. If nothing else, he's good for a few good, hard fouls.

We are so much better when we win the rebounding war that I find it entirely possible this is a basketball move.

I'm not implying that he would be replacing Landry or Scola. My thoughts are that Adelman is wondering if he can give 10-15 minutes. Maybe a Bosh deal includes Landry and Andersen. If so, we need to replace Andersen's minutes. For Adelman to be comfortable with this, then he'd need to see more of Dorsey.

I haven't seen why he would. He's Morey's "big" mistake, but isn't it amazing how much time we spend discussing 2nd round draft choices here?

But if Dorsey ever plays serious minutes in the NBA I'll have to eat my hat here.

dorsey had the same problem with hayes ,he was undersized .

in NBA level game,if u are short while playing 5,u can't be relied on.b/c no one could make a consistent contribution at this height in histroy.

dorsey was also lack of much needed skills on defensive end,he was easy to catch foul based on his previous play.he was hustle but don't know how to mesh with the current system,i mean his basketball IQ was a little low.

IMO,dorsey's join was just a signal for the coming trade, just wait and see.

How about trying Dorsey out on the Texans' defensive line?

Imagine the pass rush with him, Mario, Antonio, and Barwin?

    Morey, make it happen!!!

Haven't kept up with Von Wafer's status, but perhaps the team gave up on that idea, thus had the open spot and Dorsey was the best option. Harris was given the spot in the interm while they decided on Wafer.

But it's probably more about trade options then anything else.

I remember when Chuck Hayes first started playing he was a super foul machine, but he did improve over time!

I'm with you. When LA was absolutely killing us with over the back offensive rebounds by Odom and Bynum, having a rebounding beast like Dorsey could have turned that game around. It also is not fun being fouled by Dorsey. I few hard files on Odom or Bynum might have changed their aggresiveness a bit. I love Chuck, but against certain lineups he is just too short.

By the way. I don't think he has to be up with the team to be part of a trade, he just has to be part of the 15 man roster, which he is. Remember he has guaranteed money.
