Lol nice, but how can you have a stop comparing mcgrady to ariza thread and in your post you compare them.

Ariza > Mcgrady. There is no comparison. ;)

I think the player the Rockets really need right now is someone in the caliber of Scottie Pippen.

    *Pippen can defend

    *Pippen can score whenever needed

    *Pippen is an excellent passer

*Pippen has extremely great court vision

    *Pippen is a true leader

    *Pippen has heart!

If we can find someone of Scottie's caliber, we should trade for that player ASAP. Infact, If I was les alexander i would probably try to hire Pippen as a mentor or an assistant coach primarily to work with battier and ariza...

Les is on record supporting Morey and RA on this.
-Les after giving RA an extension...

Ariza isn't normally that bad. He's bad when he tries to be the go-to player. Tonight's game is a perfect example. Ariza had a solid first half, then he tried to do too much...I honestly don't understand why RA is asking him to play that role, but one thing's for sure: He won't be the go-to guy next year...
We're paying him the MLE to be Battier's replacement in the future, and he'll do fine in that role.

Ariza is like a new girlfriend who keeps reminding you of your old girlfriend. One is with you and the other has moved to Chicago, but you can't seem to stop comparing the two.

Especially when the new girlfriend isn't as pretty and doesn't perform as well in bed...but hey, she's a cheap date and tries really hard.

Scottie Quitten is a HOF player, Ariza will never be that good.

People had high expectations for him and kind of thought he would be the next T-mac. Well that obvious hasn't happened but maybe it will soon.

yeah i know, what i am trying to say is that we dont really need a "scorer," what we need is someone of Scottie's caliber that can pretty much do it all. Score, Defend, Pass. I would have loved to see what a prime scottie pippen can do with this current ball club.. replace ariza OR battier with a prime scottie pippen and wow.. look out...

I think we need a go-to scorer badly although prime Pippen was a better scorer than anyone currently on the roster.

Who are all these people who expected Ariza to become "the next T-Mac"? No one has ever admitted to this.

Those people should be blaming themselves for thinking he'll be that type of player. I mean...even Ariza and Morey knew he wasn't that type of player when they agreed to his contract.

Why not? It is obvious that Ariza IS the replacement of McGrady....

    One leg Mc >>> Ariza...

The road of Ariza should be Posey.
    Not TMac or Battier...

Look, Ariza was brought in for his defense. If you want to compare, compare him with Artest. T-Mac was a shot creator and a go-to player. $20+ Mil a year as opposed to 5-year $35 mil (or something like that)... I personally think Ariza is doing a good job for what the Rox pay him. He's a good role player that is trying to do too much due to Yao being out... Don't blame him cause RA and DM wants him to create and take more shots. Something Ariza definitely is not use to.

It is what it is. When Yao comes back or when/if we get an elite player, expect Ariza to do what he did when he was with the Lakers, just with more production...
