why the hell are places like kansas city, baltimore, and nashville listed? i think it should be between dallas, houston, miami, l.a., or atlanta.

There will be 12 cities hosting games. It's basically a list of cities with somewhat new stadiums with large (60K+) capacities.

Did you read the article? Some of those are in there. Remember that the World Cup is an "entire nation" hosted event, not a one-city event like the Olympics. Why do you not want it to be in the cities you mentioned?

I really believe that after Brazil, it should be in a continent other than America. It should be in Europe or even Asia again. Even Australia should be considered. I believe that it should give the United States more time to be prepared with better venues in 2022 and make the number seem something like play-on words like 2x11 on the field is 22... ;) How about that?

The last time we hosted ('94) we only had 9 cities. LA, Detroit, San Francisco, New Jersey (NYC), Orlando, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, and DC.

Reliant Stadium could easily provide the atmosphere desired for a World Cup game.

That was my first thought as well...very surprising. At the very least, Chicago would be a great city for visitors of the World Cup.

    First no Olympics for Chicago.

Now we're not even included in the list of cities for the US bid.

    Treated.
