The only way seattle would do this trade is if we gave them cato, williams, shandon, kt and a few others.

Rockeem- If we offered Francis and Cat for Payton Seattle would take it in a heartbeat. Thing is, the Rockets aren't stupid enough to do that.

The only way I'd make this deal is if Seattle also gave us Duncan, Brian Grant and Hill to go along with Payton and Shandon Anderson. Oh, and Bo Outlaw to come off the bench. Something tells me that can't do that.

Regardless of how good Payton may be, we don't need to trade Francis and Cat for a guy who will collect Social Security before I do.

A couple of years ago, I would have done almost anything to have Payton. Not anymore. He doesn't help a team that isn't on the verge of winning a title.

Don't you think that payton is better than francis will ever be??? And cat isn't really much so I think it would be an insult to seattle to even present that trade.

Francis is going to be better than Payton anyway.

Payton is a few years away from being a geezer.

Francis is a few years away from being a stud.

    Next trade please.

I would not even dream of trading Francis for Payton straight up. Francis has the potential to be 10x greater than GP. He can be that good. You don't trade the ROY and perhaps the best PG in the league two years from now for an aging PG 10 years older with 2 or 3 good years left. And if you think Cat is nothing, it shows how little you know about the Rockets. Cat was the runner up 6th man of the year last year, and off the bench in his second year he got 16 points per game. He can easily up that to 18-20. Guys who can score like Mobley can are worth a LOT. That is a ridiculous proposal- I personally don't know if I would trade Mobley straight up for GP considering potential and age.

Now Payton may be the best point guard in the league but I wouldn't trade Steve and Cat for him. Franchise is 22 and Gary is 32 plus Cat is another great young guard. Why would the Rockets give up their young guard lineup for only a few years with Gary.

I think gary has a lot of years left. He has shown no signs of letting up. Can someone please explain to me what is so good about Mobley. When I see him play all I see is a player who can't play a team game and has nothing but an iso play that is not only boring to watch but it hardly ever works and if the Rockets can get something even remotely good for him, I say taker it.

First of all , Mobley has one of the quickest first steps in the league. When he puts that first step on you, you just freeze and see mobley run past you. Mobley can take almost anyone in the nba when playing ISO. Cuttino has a good 3 point shot and also the main thing, he is steve francis' best freind and if he leaves then francis will cry. And suddenly it dawns on the posters and lurkers of the BBS.... Clutch wasn't kidding when he said:

"See, if some BBS poster with zero respect posted this: a) who's going to believe it? and b) who's going to care?"

Check on ESPN right now they have a breaking news, David Alridge reports that he has heard rumors about a Francis and Cuttino trade for GP. Go catch it before it goes off and never comes on again!

Pole -- actually the flames, in this case, signify, "Burn. Just please... burn."
