Very nice site. One little thing I found: http://65.57.231.62/company.html "We at Two Roads knows that making the right choice in a web developer is as important as making the decision to get on the web in the first place." I think it should be "know". So is this becoming a full-time job for both of you? I mean, is this your main job?
"The ability to communicate is probably Jeff's greatest skill." I think you should back that up with something like "...as evidenced by the fact that he has more than 10,000 posts on the world famous CLUTCH BBS" .
On one of the buttons under "Web" on the left side it says "Digitial Audio". Ok, I'll have some more looks and report them all in this post instead of adding more and more posts for every little thing .
Sir Jackie: Thanks for the proofread. Both of us, you mean Mrs JB and I or Clutch and I? Clutch and I have been putting this business together for a while now. Rocketeer came along and really expanded our graphic capability. Mrs JB is such a tremendous writer that she was a logical choice as well. So far so good. As for "digital audio" not sure of the problem. Read the page an you'll get it. And my post count...ugh, don't go there.
What I meant is that it says digitIal (the "i" is bothering me). I think I am a little obsessed when it comes to spelling, I guess that is why I made some money during my time in law school by proofreading/correcting my professor's books...
Only one suggestion sure all of your work has been in houston, as well as for Houstonians, however you should write your text for everyone, not just Houston. this may not be coming out correctly, so I will give an example. from the SOR description: "In February of 2002, Save Our Rockets was founded after a referendum to build a new downtown arena failed the previous fall. What started as a small grassroots movement grew into a very large and powerful political force. sure, I know you mean downtown houston, but it is a big world out there. you want to appear international, or at least capable of working anywhere. I say this because my brother does what you are doing as a side job. he workes for a company in the Carolinas, while living in NY. I hope what I am getting at makes sense PEACE
VOR: You make a good point. Generally, throughout the site we don't do that, so I'll take a look at that one.
Cool site Jeff, but it is lacking a certain.....ummph. I think I can help you with that though. For a small fee I will send you some tastefull pics of myself to post on the homepage. Nothing sleazy or trashy, just some tastefull semi-nudes in front of a variety of backdrops. Htownhero in a spedo in front of some puppies. Htownhero in a thong in front of a field of flowers. Or my personal fav, me wearing nothing but a well placed firemans hat in front of the American flag. You will have to hire more staff from all the business these pics will generate. Anyway, let me know so I can book my private photographer.
Hate to do this to you Jeff, but I noticed a misspelling on one of the sites you all designed. On the DJ Brothers website price list it says "It's more than just being a "DJ". We will be your master of ceremonies, take care of all your announcements, and make sure that everything runs according to your plan. We don't charge anymore, then we would like to pay!" any more should be two words. At first glance I was like "they don't charge anymore?"
Htown: Uh, um, well...er...I'll pass, but thanks. Vengence: Thanks. I'll get that too. I maintain that site for them.
The phone picture....... It looks like a pay phone and that seems out of date in the age of cell phones and other advancing technology. Mango
Sweet site, guys... in fact, when can we start recommending customers? The site is really clean! Using Dreamweaver? Or is that a "trade" secret? BTW - I think the pay phone is a nice touch... to me it says, "We'll be around when you need us." Pay phones have been here for years, and they generally don't run out of batteries, need a recharge, or drop calls. It's also a subtle way of saying, "We're easily accessible, but there's a fee." Of course, I always read pyschological depth into every picture (former art major of sorts in junior college). Art classes do that for you.
You might want to make the images of the sites on the portfolio page links as well. My first instinct was to click on them instead of having to mouse over the tiny text link.
First off,..nice design..I really like the look of it. Typos. on your personal portfolios page under yours..there is an extra "t" in the last sentence "his" instead of "hist". Solutions page... "Two Roads Media was founded on creating great web sites..." this doesn't seem right to me..I can't figger out why..but I feel that a different word could be used there... "Not only does it allow you to reach your customers and them to reach you 24/7," I think maybe adding the word "allows" between "and" & " them" would sound better.. also on the Solutions page....under Process under number 3 "Fiinalize site design" too many "i".. Solutions....Digital audio... "Two Roads has at its desposal.." should be "disposal" same page...... "would like to ad a Flash advertisement "...add another "d" to "ad".... Solutions.....maintenance... "It requires patience, dillegence .." should be spelled "diligence" "know-how to maintain complex websties." should be "websites" Solutions...Political Web... Clutch's first name isn't bolded like you have other names..His last name is bolded tho... "- Database Orgaization " should be Organization...... one last thing...the "contact" button is kinda hard to see..maybe increase the size just a bit or do something to make it stand out more... I'm real good at spotting typos...not as good on grammar and stuff like that. I just went thru your main site (didn't go to the sites in your portfolio) and i listed what I found... Over all..a real nice design...I especially like the way the page name goes across and the drops down as the pages load.. Well done.
Mango: I guess we'll just have to chalk the phone up to "creative differences." I like the goofy retro looking things. IROC: You can start recommending people NOW! We're pretty much up and running. Of course, we'll be modifying things but we are actively marketing right now, so fire away. As for the site, we all three had a hand in it. I like Dreamweaver and use it quite a bit but Clutch hand codes everything with just a text editor I think. He's unreal. The other stuff was mostly Flash and Photoshop. Gutter Snipe: I actually had considered that. I'll definitely do that as well. Good idea. Rockets2K: Thanks for all the proofreading. I really appreciate it. Again, thanks guys so much for your help! And, hey, if anyone needs a web developer or knows someone who does...
