Or we can just let him 'rehab' more in chicago. If we dont trade him, he sure wont be playing here again. There is no point in even trying to suggest it, its not happening dude. The tmac era is over in Houston, get over it.
and Hakeem was basically a Nigerian version of Ronald Regan just taller and a lot better at basketball
Jeez, I thought I was cynical. It isn't a matter of garbage contracts. Tmac will be traded, but not until the trade deadline. Tmac will never, ever, EVER play for the Rockets again.
I love how people kept saying that and then he got 7mpg for 6 games. But you are probably right this time.
When Morey pulls off a deal that makes everyone's jaws drop I wonder if these sportswriters will give him credit due or just say how stupid the other GM was for making the deal with him?
Except Les really liked T-mac. So that doesn't work. Morey is a business man. I think he would have sat T-mac down and really said how he needed to change his game in order to fit in with a new direction. Furthermore, the style of play we have is temporary - simply done because we didn't have Yao or T-mac - by the words of ADelman himself. The only logical explanation is that they simply don't think T-mac will be the same player he was - that he is done as a super-star. They gave him a chance and played him a bit but were not impressed enough to increase his minutes. I don't think it was anything more complicated than that.
Les was a McGrady fan, but my impression is that he was furious about how Tracy handled things last season. I doubt that feeling was changed by his antics this season, assuming I have the right impression. I don't think they would ever make a move simply to "get back" at McGrady, but if he ends up somewhere he's not crazy about, that's icing on the cake. They simply don't care about him any longer. It is all about what they can get for him, IMO, as it should be.
The Rockets wont be able to sign any of that top level FA's next year. I see it really unlikely that Lebron, Joe Johnson or Wade leaves their teams. Wade is most likely, but I could see him get Bosh into town. Bosh will likely be traded with SnT, and I just have a feeling someone else will have a better offer than the Rockets will. That leaves who? Ray Allen, A. Stoudamire, Paul Pierce, Dirk, Michael Redd, Ginobli, Boozer, Rudy Gay (restricted), Anthony Morrow (restricted)...
