My friend is turning 21 on June 22 of this year and he wants for a group of us to go on a cruise. I see quite a few of cruise threads on Clutchfans and figured alot or quite a few of the users have experiences with cruises. I just wanted to know where I can find the cheapest prices on a cruise.

-The cruise line does not really matter
    -5 day cruise is preferred
-Cruise must be after June 22
-Really just looking for the cheapest option since we are mainly college students

    anything else I should know?

    Thanks for the help

Is Katie Holmes the most unhappy beard of all time? Do you think her pay gets docked everytime she gets a picture taken with that "please just kill me know" face?

    Oh, different Cruise

Currently planning/booking a cruise, myself. Just know that cruise rates peak in the summer months so if you plan on taking a 5-night cruise it's probably going to cost you at least $500 before taxes. I know you said you wanted to go cheap.

Be careful: the cruise line does, most definitely, matter. If you wanna booze up and party, Carnival is the line for you (plus, it's usually the cheapest). If you're looking for a party cruise and sign up
for A Royal Carribean, you'll be disappointed.

Are you in Houston? Leaving from Galveston will save
    you airfare...

There is nothing wrong with Royal Caribbean - the service is better than Carnival. I have been on 2 Carnival ships before and also Norwegian.
In my opinion - Norwegian is the best though.
    I just booked a cruise through http://www.surecruise.com/
You need to request a quote or talk to a live person for the best deal.

Nothing at all! RC is a great line. Really, they're all good. It really boils down to what kind of vacation you want:

    Party cruise = Carnival
Nicer, but still a bit of a party = Princess
More elegant/family oriented = RC or Holland America
    Fancy-schmancy= Celebrity

I really like Princess, because it offers a nice blend of casual and more formal events. Plus, the prices are usually reasonable, and the ships are nice.

Carnival is the #1 cruise line in the world for one reason only: price. The ships are ok, the destinations are fine. But because they are the lower-cost options, they generally attract the party crowd. If that's you, you want Carnival for sure. If you're not a big boozer/party-hound, I recommend Princess.

Carnival is the only major line that sails out of Galveston now, I believe.

Royal Caribbean sails out of Galveston as well - just not during the summer.
